Mapping out a future for young people in the new Rural frontier (Alberta's Special Area) is what Return to Rural is all about.
Return To Rural Project Description
R2R is a SAMDA Economic Partnership initiative, founded to respond to the youth out-migration trend in the Special Areas and MD of Acadia No. 34 region of AB, Canada.
In Alberta's Special Area we have embraced technology and youth as key drivers to re-imagine our Rural communities.
Founding communities: Special Areas Board, MD of Acadia No. 34, Village of Empress, Village of Cereal, Town of Oyen, Village of Consort, Village of Veteran, Town of Hanna & Village of Youngstown.
Supporting partners: AB Agriculture & Rural Development & AB Culture and Community Spirit, Voluntary Services
as well as numerous organizations, businesses, individuals and community leaders.
