It's with a sad and happy heart that we would like to announce that Doris and Gerry have sold the Ricky's in Shawnessy. It's been a great 12 years. Over those years we have seen babies born, couples married, sadly some pass away, and have made some fantastic friends. To all our regulars thanks for the years of support. The new owner Rebecca is looking forward to meeting all of you. She will be an excellent person to carry out what we have built. Reach out to her and help her get comfortable with her new surrounding. Thanks to our regulars and especially to our staff. Without great staff you can't have the best Ricky's in the chain. When I see you out and about, please say hi, I will miss all of you. Thanks for 12 great years and good luck to everyone in the future. Gerry and Doris.

You will find me here every mimosa monday and every second saturday for prime rib weekends. Great place to bring the boys for some mimosas or prime rib and the staff are impeccable.

We have been coming here with our family for 10 years. Our daughter always gets a big hug from Doris (owner). We look forward to the friendly family atmosphere every time we visit. Which is A LOT! Wolfgang is our favourite server!!!

Really enjoyed our dinner tonight! The grilled cheese and tomato basil soup was good and our server, Brittney was amazing! Very friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back for another dinner!

My wife and I eat here at least once a week. Everything on the menu is delicious. Cooks, servers, staff are always friendly and do their jobs better than any other restaurant I've been too. I rarely give any page 5 stars, but this place deserves it.

I thought I loved it before, but today was exceptional. The new beef dip is even better than the last - with real actual chunks of braised beef rib rather than deli slices. The service was outstanding- thanks Cody!

I often come to Ricky's in Shawnessy with some of our donors, board members and staff. Recently one of our great supporters and I had lunch and noticed the bread pudding was taken off the menu. Both my guest and myself were disappointed.



The next time I was in I spoke to the owner (Jerry) and asked what the possibilities would be to make some for our next visit.



I must say Jerry went above and beyond to not only find the recipe but also had his team make it for us today.



We had to leave a review because it's not very often you get to have the owners serve you. Jerry/Delores always asks how your meal/service was and if you hesitate they know they could have done better and always try to make it right.



Thanks Jerry for going above and beyond in serving us at Teen Challenge.



Already looking forward to our next visit.

Food is always great the Classic Bacon Cheddar burger is amazing and the breakfast can't be beat. The service is always fantastic too at this location.

Although the service is always good, tonight it was exceptional! I am still upset about the beef dip being removed from the menu but they make up for it with excellent service. Thank you for a great dinner!

Waited to be seated for almost 15 min even though we were told 5, not a big deal. Sat at our table for 10min with no sign of server, she arrived and we ordered orange juice. Glasses empty and she walked by approximately 15 times asking other tables if they needed anything, but completely ignoring us. My wife got her attention and asked for an iced tea, the tea was brought but no mind in asking the rest of us (my daughter and I) if we needed anything. Food came out about 40 minutes after ordering (stuffed French toast, grand forks, waffle, and fruit bowl). Food seemed good untill my wife pulled a long brown hair from her mouth(she is blonde). We formed our rather poor server and she replied with"i will talk to my supervisor", I asked if they were wearing hair nets in the kitchen, the reply shocked me "they're supposed to be". Not a single member of the kitchen staff was wearing hats or hair nets when I poked my head in as we were leaving.



Between the poor service, lack of cleanliness (we were seated on the north side of restaurant next to a dividing wall which was covered in dust), and the lack of consideration while preparing other people's food I don't think my family and I will ever return.
