Rio Terrace Community Preschool

Welcome to Rio Terrace Community Preschool! We are a parent-cooperative, non-profit, preschool serving west Edmonton communities since 1968.

Founded in 1968, our parent-cooperative preschool is part of the Rio Terrace, Patricia Heights, and Quesnell Community League. Our programs are licensed to provide preschool education for children aged three and four. We believe that play is integral to children’s learning. Our emergent, child-centred, and play-based curriculum creates an environment that supports the ideas and experiences of children! We aim to provide children with opportunities that invite them to be active, experiment, and focus on their process of learning. Our program activities encourage language, creative, social, and motor development in a positive and supportive atmosphere.
