The staff are friendly. The atmosphere is so fun and welcoming - lots to look at. The soup was amazing!!!

So nice to finally have a place with soul in the west end. On top of that the food is delicious. The decor eclectic and cool and the staff friendly and warm. So glad I found this place.

Omg the cheesecake. So good. Officially going to be my new comfort food.

I'm a picky eater but the food here is like going home. It's good and filling and leaves you with a smile on your face.



The only thing better then the food and the people who work here is the decor.

Have been here twice and there is nothing like it in Edmonton West. Freshly made soup, sandwiches and have yet to try the cakes which look delicious. Thanks Aly and crew.

Good coffee. Excellent food. Cozy little coffee shop. I love the atmosphere, little nick knacks which are for sale. I would totally drive from Beaumont again!

Came in with my boys for lunch today and was very pleasantly surprised at how tasty everything was. My picky eater had a flatbread with Brie and pesto and LOVED it. I had an amazing spinach quiche and my oldest had a fantastically seasoned shepherds pie. We also shared 3 different pastries and all were really good. I will be back to work my way through the menu. Cute interior and calm atmosphere, very friendly service. So glad we now have a go to in our neighbourhood.

Came in today with my wife and brother for lunch. Everything was amazing. The atmosphere the food the staff all of it. I liked how you have locally made products for sale as well. I took a little time to read your " about rise and root" on your web page and it made me like your place even more. My wife and I will definitely be back (not sure about my brother for the sole reason as he goes back to Halifax in less than a week.) We looming forward to checking out some of your upcoming events as well.

Came in today with my little one .Had a quiche and blueberry juice and cinnamon bun. The food was delicious! Place is kid friendly as well. Will be back for sure!

Cute , charming little local place to grab a soup and sandwich. While the food is very tasty it was cold when it arrived at the table. Disappointed that it's microwaved to re heat. I'm sure there's a better solution. Overall a good experience i would come back and try more soups or dessert.

While the food was amazing! We waited along time for our soup and when we got them two of them were cold. Three of us ordered the veggie curry. While I get that using different bowls is part of the “theme” our bowls were such different sizes for the same price it really did not make sense. One of the curries was loaded with vegetables while one of them was so small there was maybe 7 vegetable pieces. Hoping the kinks will be worked out because the food and atmosphere is really quite incredible.

It was very expensive for 3 sandwiches. Staff is friendly just very pricey

Went for lunch here after I was recommended it by a coworker. The deserts were delicious however I watched the store owner walk into the bathroom without shoes on and proceed to walk into the kitchen. Also none of the staff were wearing their hair up and I found a long piece of black hair in my soup. Won’t visit again.

So went in twice in the same day and both times had a very unpleasant response from the staff. The place looks great but I will not go back nor will I recommend it. It’s a shame because the food and pastries looked very good. But customer service is the only thing that will keep a business alive. I wish them luck.
