MEET MILO, he is one of the cats transported from a First Nations community in High Level, AB where he lived outdoors, homeless....and freezing. Can you imagine the cold he suffered? Cats love warmth, we all know that, however due to -40 weather he has frostbite on one of his ears.
He's so loving, affectionate, calm, easy going boy. We think about one year old, and need a foster family or adopter. He would make a fine indoor cat. He's so grateful for a cozy bed and food.
He gets along with the other cats and dog and is currently in Penticton, BC. Please help us if you know people in the Okanagan and cross-post. Many cats are now needing homes in our care, we need help with cat fosters.

PANTHER is a large lab mix being transferred to us from NWT on Monday or Tuesday as far as Edmonton if we can find a fosterer or adopter, or foster to adopt. Like Amanda says, Rent to Own!
He had been tied up his whole life. He is going on two years of age. He needs a fosterer experienced with large dogs. Best no cats or kids as of now.

Shout out to Atomic Dog Boutique, Beastro & Grooming for helping out our sweet Polly! She had been so itchy before from the matting and dirt embedded under her fur, her bath came out black! Now look, she's so much softer and much more comfortable.

We adopted our lovely Fur Baby from Rory and the Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue team in February of 2018. They are so wonderful to deal with and made the adoption process as stress-free as possible. Rory is so dedicated to finding all the animals good and safe homes - she was extremely communicative and kept us up-to-date on everything that was going on from the moment that we submitted our application to the moment we met our dog. I would highly recommend this fantastic organization to anyone that is thinking about bringing an animal in to their lives. Remember: Adoption Is The Best Option :)

We adopted our little dog from Rocky Mountain and he is so sweet. The rescue center does so much for so many dogs. Traveling to rescue these poor animals from terrible situations. Our little guy came from an abandoned home in Mexico. The staff do so much and they know what they are doing. The dogs are loved and cared for and happy.

This rescue group does alot of work to rescue, vet., train and then adopt out. They mostly work in Alberta and BC but also from Mexico and elsewhere offering to help most of those that contact them even from as far away as Turkey. If you live in the area please help out if and when able. If you don't then donate if and when able. I loved going to walk a few dogs and fold blankets. I also asked for insulated dog houses for Christmas one year and delivered them to this group. I know somewhere a couple of dogs who are expected to live outside have a warmer spot to live. Thanks to you all !

This organization works diligently to help animals in need. Both at hope and afar!! With help from the community they can do wonders. Rescue is a hard thankless job and you will get the nay sayers along the way for the hard decisions you have to make but remember...you are there doing the hard work...where are they!! Much love �

Rory's training was excellent, I love the Clicker! Doors are wide open now and both stick around, so great. Forest strolls begin with a leash on Storm and heading back he's free to go home. They both stay on the trail no problem now! I had a girlfriend over yesterday and Whisper was so much better at greeting, the weiners are key Click Me!

Rory was such a pleasure to work with. She made my partner and I feel like we were old friends coming over. The adoption and fostering process was thorough but easy! I don't know how Jarrett and I are going to say goodbye to Callie when the time comes, but will always have panda. You can tell this woman deeply cares for all animals!

Rory rescued our beautiful girl from up north, she was starving and doing her best to feed new puppies, after Rory had managed to get ahold of my girl she spent the following 24 hours looking for the pups. She brought the whole family back to the Okanagan where she rehomed all the puppies and then I was blessed to adopt the mom, she is an amazing member of our family who has transformed our lives for the better. I cannot thank Rory and her team enough for all the incredible selfless work they do to enable animals with an unfortunate life to have the opportunity of a better one.

Rory is an absolute pleasure to work with! We had the pleasure and honour to escort Oso the husky from Cancun where he had a very rough start to life and was just way too hot! As a family with multiple rescue dogs ourselves, we appreciate the work done by RMAR so very much!

My darling Bambi was the first rescue from Puerto Vallarta and life would not be the same without her. She is an amazing pooch that probably would have died where she was if not for Rory and her help. While I was picking Bambi up to take her home I was asked to drop some food to the starving dogs near the Sanctuary. This goes to show it does not matter where they are from, breed, colour or size, RMAR helps all animals in need and I think they are all amazing for what they do! Thank each and every one of you!

Being a dog rescuer myself is no easy task but Rory is able to go into some of the worst places where she is giving so many pups the chance and love they so deserve!

I loved my interactions with this organization. I have been working with a few rescue groups to adopt a rescue and it can be like a black hole and you never hear back! Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue is responsive and timely with their communications. They have tons of information and transparency! They genuinely care about the animals and want a good fit for the humans and pets! I totally give them the thumbs up! Well done - thank you for all the hard work you do to give these precious animals a new loving home!

I have been following your Facebook posts for quite awhile now. I am a senior and have a 14 year old dog that I adopted when she was about 8 months old from the humane society. All the pets I have had over the years have been from shelters. I admire what you do and all the hard work you do to find homes for all these animals.

I am so grateful for an organization such as this who not only help out at home but also go where some of the most horrendous things happen to fur babies. You do what so many of us can not even bear to see on tv. All those who complain about helping at home first, I'd like to see you open up your home to 3 or 4 more rescues so that the awful, stomach wrenching work can be done by those who have taken the vow to help all no matter where. I am so grateful for you guys!!!

I am glad to see so many positive reviews for this great group. There are a few people who are dissatisfied with their apparent interaction with the group and I wonder if perhaps a few of these people didn’t make it to their website to post their questions.

Rescuing dogs is the primary objective of Rory and her people so sometimes keeping up with the hundreds of emails gets shoved to the bottom of the “to do” list. I know I would rather have more dogs rescued than emails answered. Perhaps their negative experiences could bring them to volunteer to do something about those emails from prospective parents.

Once again I have been ignored by this shelter due to what I'm assuming is my age. Looking at all the reviews I feel they discriminate against younger people, because they are all from older people with families, when in reality I garuntee I have more experience with dogs then this shelter does.

I would highly recommend not donating to such a terrible organization.

My review has nothing to do with the shelter's work in rescuing animals. Rather it is strictly on the grounds that we have been in conversation with the group on messenger, and have been messaged in a very unprofessional and rude manner by them. A simple question asked on a post escalated into a very negative experience, and on those grounds, I do not recommend this shelter. Their unprofessionalism negatively impacts the shelter, which is a shame.
