Starting October 1, 2018 the Care Mobile needs a new place to call home! 🙂
🌜We are in search of a new nighttime housing solution for the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. This can be an industrial lot, a storage property, or a commercial space.
Here is our wish list for the parking space:
... 🚚 24 hour access
💙 14 foot access door (pull-through access is ideal)
🚚 Must be heated
💙 Care Mobile dimensions are approximately: 10 ft wide x 40 ft long x 13.5 ft tall and powered by diesel fuel
🚚 Location in the NE/SE with good access to Deerfoot Trail and/or Barlow Trail

Our Donor D3Hotels have been and continue to be a generous #WishList supporter!
Their team has previously donated gift cards at Christmas 🎄 raised money by selling their signature Moose stuffed animal at the hotel 🏨 and supported our families by putting them up at their establishment until they can find accommodation at RMH when we are at capacity 👨‍👩‍👧

The super fun Advantage Heating & Pioneer 2000 ⛳4th Annual Golf Tournament⛳ is happening this week!
... Where: Cottonwood Golf & Country Club 88008 226 Avenue East Foothills Alberta
When: August 9th 12:00pm- 7:00pm
What: Sell 50/50 tickets on a hole at the golf course, and help with the silent auction at dinner.
NOTE: Volunteers need to be aged 18+ to sell 50/50 tickets
Some history of the event: Lacey Knowles, Vice President of Advantage Heating has been a Ronald McDonald House volunteer for 4 years now and plans and holds the event. We were in attendance last year and spent a beautiful day out on the course and had a great time! This will be raising several thousand dollars for #RMHC 🏡♥️

Wonderful staff, volunteers, meals, accommodations, activities, facilities. It is unreal the support this house does for families who have been hit hard with medical needs.

We stayed for 68 days and everyone was so wonderful and were always there for us. It is truly a home away from home. Thank you for everything and for always being there. We cant wait to come visit �������

We are so blessed and grateful that we were able to get into the Ronald McDonald House. It is definitely a home away from home. The staff and volunteers are amazing. There are always yummy bake treats, thanks to all the lovely bakers ��My family and I would like to say thank you from our hearts!�

On March 8th, 2015, our at-the-time 6yo son Jayden (whom we thought had a bad flu) ended up having a critical case of Hyponatremia (we nearly lost him) and he was flown from the Red Deer ER via the amazing STARS Air Ambulance team on STAR1 to the ACH in Calgary. We were traumatized by what was happening as he was receiving incredible medical help, and upon my husband Garner's and my arrival to the hospital, one of the NICU nurses recommended we call you so we didn't have to sleep in chairs in his hospital room (which we would have if we had to). We got to RMDH across the street, and we're warmly welcomed, given a clean warm place to sleep, shower, eat, etc. We stayed for 3 nights. Jayden is doing amazing health-wise like it never happened, but the memories of that scary time are never far... Thank you SO much for helping us in the SCARIEST time of our lives to date! We are forever indebted! ���

My family and I would be lost without the Ronald McDonald House, everyday we are blessed to call this our home away from home�

Lincoln spent a total of 16 days in ACh and 3 of thoses days we were blessed to get to stay at the Ronald mc Donald house it made it so we could be closer to our sick little baby thank you for all that you do

I was only there briefly for volunteering, but in my short time there I was amazed by the facility, workers, families, children and just the feeling of love and support that was ever-present. Thank you all for helping me refocus what is important in my life.

I am forever grateful for the home away from home while my son was in hospitals. You guys are all amazing! I dont know what I would have done without you all. My angels in disguise. I miss you all!
