Rosegarland Welsh

Rosegarland Welsh is a Section B breeding farm of the belief that it is paramount that type, temperament, and athletic prowess be the essence of the herd.

At four years old, and with four adorable Shetland ponies, the life-long love of all equines began, but it wasn’t until 1983 that Rosegarland Welsh was founded.

We purchased our first Welsh pony from Pat Clay of Pajon Ponies. Pajon’s Royal Tiara raised many foals, sired entirely by the stallions of Alvesta Farm. Over the years, many other mares were purchased and crossed with the quality stallions at Alvesta. And today, our breeding herd is composed entirely of Alvesta females.

Our belief in the quality and beauty of the Welsh breed was cemented on our trip to Wales, where we watched the famous Royal Welsh Show! There could not be a more perfect animal than the Welsh Pony.
