It's about time.

We seem to let time slip away from us don't we?

I let half a lifetime go by filled with self doubt and a yearning to stay safe and secure.

Of course, I seemed to have this little chattering in my brain about how this wasn't the way life was supposed to go, and that I was destined for better things.

We all are!

Oh, sure, I gave little attempts here and there to follow the tugs my soul kept nudging me with. But, I seemed to ever opts for safe and secure.

My life took a decidedly challenging direction this past year, and I realized I no longer wanted to be safe and secure. I wanted to test myself. I know I have greatness within me, as do we all. I am just now ready to let go and see what happens.

I'd been drawing from a young age, and doodled on schoolwork and drew every chance I could (when not reading or writing). My Mom gave me my first sketch book when I was in grade 7, and I haven't looked back.
I still have that sketch book 26 years later. Two of my favorite drawings are still from that book.

I quickly realized over the past year (end of 2014 and pretty much all of 2015) that in our dark times, we need something to remind us the storm will past, and the sun will come out once more.
I also realized, I want to help be that spark that keeps us going.
