Couldn't pay us to stay here again. Absolutely filthy...from the stairwell leading to the room. Don't think this place has ever been cleaned. We discovered bed bugs... In the dirty sheets... Just gross... I'd recommend sleeping in the ditch before booking a room here... Staff however was friendly.

I have stayed at a lot of terrible places in my life but this place may be the worst. During my stay I was raviged by bed bugs, when trying to checkout I was first accused of bringing them and then was told that they have been in the building for months. When Checking out not only was I not offered an apology or some form of compensation, I witnessed what I can only explain as a mental break down by the owner. In the 5 minute confrontation I watched him repeatedly throw a tv around his office, yell and eventually cry. I also never had a hot shower in the 4 days I stayed here.

Great service, excellent welcome to town. Provided lots of information about the town. Very personable. My room was decent, the plumbing in the bathroom could use some attention. And why supply in room coffee without a coffee maker? All in all I would recommend this place. And the restaurant downstairs too!

The Royal Star Motor Inn isn't awful but has its quirks. We had a double queen room but I believe the beds are doubles but they are very very comfortable beds. It's a little worn overall, but the housekeeping is great, the showers are hot and I'm not sure if there is a breakfast included as we are attendees of the High Prairie gun show and get that free at the show. Another bonus is that its very close to the arena that you can walk over.

The best Motel in the town. Reasonable price. clean. Very nice and friendly owner. Way better than few others I stayed in high prairie.
