As things start to cool down a bit - we at Runway Caf√© are hoping you‚Äôll drop by for some delicious breakfast or better yet; end your Friday with a Buffet Lunch of some fabulous homemade ūüí•Butter Chicken!! First off we would like to thank the amazing amount of guests that we had yesterday! It was a record Sunday and was confirmation that opening Sundays was a great choice! So many people are making us their meeting place because of our solid www.tripadvisor.ca and google reviews so we are very thankful for the consistent positive online feedback! Keep it coming! The American president Thomas Jefferson and James Hemings, his chef and slave, encountered macaroni in Paris and brought the recipe back to Monticello. Jefferson drew a sketch of the pasta and wrote detailed notes on the extrusion process. In 1793, he commissioned American ambassador to Paris William Short to purchase a machine for making it. Evidently, the machine was not suitable, as Jefferson later imported both macaroni and Parmesan cheese for his use at Monticello.[12] I...n 1802, Jefferson served "a pie called macaroni" at a state dinner. The menu of the dinner was reported by Reverend Manasseh Cutler, who like many apparently was not fond of the cheesy macaroni dish. Many said it would never be made after him...Nevertheless, since that time, baked macaroni and cheese has remained popular in the United States.

When you enter you quickly notice the welcoming atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. The friendly staff enhance the "like being at home" feeling. Our meals had the great taste that is associated with freshly prepared home style meals. A relaxing and refreshing experience that is highly recommended.
