Our Story:

Ruth’s Hands was founded by a group of woman who saw a great need in the city for hurting families to be surrounded by other families who could love and support them in very practical ways.
“…because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…” ~Isaiah 61: 1

As we reflected on the book of Ruth and her journey with her mother-in-law Naomi we would like to follow Ruth’s example of unwavering loyalty and commitment. Ruth chooses to remain and live her life out with the one person who could not give her anything in a time where two women alone could have been left for dead. Naomi had nothing left to give and even though she urged Ruth to leave, Ruth chose to stay by her side and together they went on to bring great service and wealth to their land.
