Sunday 24th is Heritage Day / National Braai Day, so come on down to the store this weekend and grab a pack of wors or two, an always favourite chicken flattie, or our sausage and cranberry stuffed pork loin for your Braai Day celebrations!

Many of you will know about the plight of the rhinos in South Africa, and how they are being poached to the verge of extinction.
Many of you will also know that SA Meat Shops raises money annually for an organisation called Saving The Survivors, which is a group of people, headed by veterinarians Dr. Johan Marais and Dr. Zoe Glyphis, that attempt to save the lives of rhinos that have been severely wounded in attempted poaching incidents, often, where the horn has been barbar...ically removed.
This year, with the generous help of Dr. Stella-Amore Jansen Van Rensburg who donated her musical CD, SA Meat Shops managed to raise ZAR15,000 (CAD1,500) for their cause.
SA Meat Shops would like to thank all of those customers that purchased a CD; without your contribution, we would not have been able to make the donation.
Included below are pictures of Andrea meeting with Drs. Marais and Glyphis, where they graciously received the donation.

She is a fellow South African, living in Calgary, who recorded this CD on her last trip home.
