Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House

We have been to this location too many times to count, and every time we have had EXCELLENT service and the food impeccable! We usually sit in the lounge and the girls there are fantastic. I don't see how people can complain about the food when every time we're there, the place is packed! I think that people should give the place more of a chance than they are. Just wanted to leave a positive review, and to commend the staff working there.

We have been in this area for 6+ years. It has been a challenge to find a restaurant that serves a good meal that is freshly prepared. We stopped in on a whim and everything from wait time to service was fabulous. We will be returning!

Trista allowed us to make a large group reservation for a Saturday night. Our party was well taken care of by two great servers and food was delicious!! Thank you Sawmill!!

The kind of place I like to go where it's like 'everyone knows your name'. I know many locals other than myself who are on a first-name basis with the wonderful managers, George and Robyn, and many of the staff. They remember you, your favourites, and even where you like to sit. Excellent food, great atmosphere, and always wonderful service.

The food wad amazing and the prices fair, definitely a place to drop into and enjoy the food as well as the service :)

My hubby and I went on a double date tonight with good friends and enjoyed an amazingly delicious dinner and fast and friendly service! A slight wait to be greeted upon arrival, but after that the service was outstanding! A shoutout to our female server who was very polite and made sure we didn’t want for anything. We all enjoyed our meals which were hot and delicious! Highly recommend ... we will be back!

Love it here. Our family goes a few times throughout the year. It’s a nice treat for us and the food is so delicious. Love the prime rib

Kyle and myself having been going to the Sawmill in Stony every Thursday (which is date night)since it opened. Our experience and food has been excellent every time from the staff in the lounge where we go and they are awesome. George, Mandy,Aimee, Shelley and Trissa have made Us feel like family and we appreciate all they do for us. Thanks to all the staff at this location they are all professional, friendly and ensure that we always have an excellent customer experience. Wow

Great meal, great service, we were there for my birthday June 12th. The food was awesome loved my steak it was cooked perfectly!

Best dang steak I’ve had in Canada so far! Walked in and was able to sit down right away. Shalohm was our waitress (not bad on the eyes at all), was quick and not a single person sitting around us had an empty glass (biggest pet peeve).

Last night my husband and I visited this restaurant and as I sat waiting for our table a young woman, who was wearing an extremely tight skirt, walked over to a cabinet. She crouched down and pulled something out from the cabinet. Her tight skirt became see through and I could clearly see her backside and her thong! I am so sick of restaurant staff dressing like street walkers, in an attempt to get better tips! Customer service should the main goal!

After making a birthday reservation we were greeted and shown to our table , waiter was good but seemed stressed and busy which the restaurant wasn't. Ordered my steak medium rare with sautéed mushrooms and received medium steak no mushrooms! My friend ordered well done and got the smallest piece of leather I've seen! She's not a complainer! Finally got a different server to take out bill who said I know it's two peoples birthdays but you have to order 4 main meals to get the birthday discount, ( not told this during ordering) The food was not great especially for the price!

Once home I realized I never got my mushrooms so I checked my receipt and I'd payed extra for them but they never showed up!

I called the restaurant to explain and let them know and they took my name and email address to hear nothing!

This place just gets better!

Worst "steakhouse" experience ever. First started with my ceaser salad tasting like mayonaise. Then when my steak and lobster came out. Steak was ordered as a medium rare and came out a medium and the meat itself tasted dry. Just not a quality cut nor cooked right. The lobster tasted like it was cooked from frozen as with the shrimp. Then the attitude from the staff. The waitress herself wasn't concerned with what I had to say. Then on my way out the manager said "see you again". I shook my head no. And her reply was "well, whatever then" as she walked by me. Definite reboot required.

Went there once and will never be back. Hands down the worst service I’ve ever had in my entire life. The prices say the keg but the food says microwave box. Management is highly unprofessional. Asked to speak to a manager after our meal and no such manager showed up. Instead the server gave us a staff discount. After reaching out on Facebook and by phone a manager by the name of George assured us that the manger from the previous night came to our table to ask if everything was okay. Which was an obvious lie. After trying to decipher why they would lie about this we gave up and just asked if we could have a refund. George went on yo say that he could not refund us because it was a new business day. We told him that he is able to refund in cash and he said he does not just “have that amount laying around”. Our bill was 60$. ... shocked that they took it so far when all we asked for was to speak to a manger. Why they lied and argued is beyond me. Save your money go somewhere else.

So disappointed we went for our anniversary dinner on April 22, 2016 although the service was excellent the food was not, was expensive and not good. We unfortunately won't be back anytime soon. Suzanne

My wife and myself decided to go to Sawmill for a fancy dinner out to celebrate the good news she had received from her DR. about her cancer. It was on a Wednesday evening, prime rib special for this night. the waitress came over to our table with a snotty attitude. ( Her name was Shelby) She brought us dinner rolls before our food came, asked for a butter knife, was told they don't have butter knives. Was told to use our steak knife. Received my prime rib dinner half an hour later,(remember, this is the special for this night???). Prime Rib was cold, poor service, no butter knife, Wife had chicken and she said it wasn't tasty at all. What a rip off restaurant ! Safe to say we did NOT leave a tip for a snotty waitress. They did not offer to give us a discount and we told them that it was our first and last time there. Montana's is a place where they could learn manners and cooking lessons. Norm from Spruce Grove,AB.

Had a 8 person dinner at the sawmill. 2 of us order prime rib and when they came out there was no Yorkshire pudding. We asked the waitress and she said they ran out!! A person ordered a steak medium and it came out still kicking(rare)

Thought when we it was time to pay the $500 bill they would give a discount for no Yorkshire pudding

Wasn't even mentioned and had to pay full

The Yorkshire pudding is the best of the meal. If your going to charge $40 a plate it better be a $40 plate. I will not be coming back

Not a happy camper would rather drive into Edmonton for a decent dinner
