Wow. The food was delicious. Absolutely everything we ordered came out perfect and tasted like heaven. Will definitely be going back. ďż˝

User

We had a large party for my Grandma's birthday for brunch and the staff & food were outstanding! Thank you for making her day so special!

User

My first visit. The wings were delicious! Pleasant place with lots of drink choices. Watched the Oiler's game with friends.

User

It was our first time trying The Sawmill. It was SO good! I had the 1/2 price bottle of wine (drank only half btw), had crab stuffed mushroom caps, and Chicken Neptune. It was SO good, full of flavor and hot. Hubby had the prime rib and wasn't as pleased, his food came out cold.

User

I have been to this location several times as my mother really likes the lounge in this place. It happened to be her birthday yesterday, and the experience for the four of us was very enjoyable. I realize steaks are cooked rarer these days in most restaurants, so when I ordered my Ribeye I ordered medium instead of the medium rare I like. My steak was perfect and very tasty. Two of our party ordered the chicken neptune, and it was nothing short of fantastic. My only hope is that the lounge could be bigger and the dinning room smaller. Good music, good place to watch sports, nice warm atmosphere. well done.

Been going to the Sawmills for 37 years, still my favourite.

User

Above and beyond very tasty food, Tom Goodchild has hit the mark right on. Service in general is always exceptional but he has hired the absolute best ambassador for a business based on dealing with the general public. Rosie is the General Manager at this location.

16 of us came in for supper to celebrate my wife's birthday the end of January. This dear lady came around several times to check up on us. Cheery and jovial each time. She personally came back with a piece of cake and sang a very boisterous happy birthday in her native language and English. Fantastic!

6 of us returned yesterday for lunch to celebrate my mother-in-laws 93 birthday. Again she repeated this same process with the cake and singing! What a wonderful experience for all in the lounge! She is able to light up any room and is a bonus to a great meal!

And again we always enjoy the food especially the steaks.

Steak and lobster was very good same with the chicken neptune. However, it took us less time to eat our food than waiting for our food to be served.

User

Was decent service, however we had better meals the last time we visited. This time the food was cold, especially the steak. Even the BĂŠarnaise sauce was cold. Hoping next time will be better or we'll start trying a different location.

User

I have been to this resurant a few times normally very good service and food. This time sadly not so much ran out of soup and that caused a delay of over an hour untill we received our entry. Prime rib was just ok. I have had better here and at other restaurants.

User

This is a review of their Seasame Sauce they produce for sale. It used to be delicious. It was the best thing about the Sawmill, in my opinion. And we were buying it for several years. Happily.

Now it’s a thick, gelatinous blob of tasteless goo. Not even worthy of a food court.

Looks like profit beats quality in this product. Consider going back to quality as we won’t be buying this anymore.

User

I normally have a good experience but not this time ! Order a medium steak and it came over well done. ( burnt to shoe leather is more like it ) Show the waitress and nothing to make it better. Ate half of the most expensive steak on the mine and told them to take it away it was so bad. Was told that she would tell the manager. No response for the manager so I paid my bill and left to never return. Bad food bad service

User

Besides the meals arriving minutes after the appetizers. Steak was over done, manager offered to redo a steak for us will be been in 5-7 minutes. 15 minutes later the rest of the dinner guests were finished the steak arrives. A few of us ordered desserts crème carmel tasted fine, second spoonful I happened to look at it and there was a nickel size blue/green fuzzy circle on it, I handed it to my hubby asked his opinion - he thought the same as I did - MOULD. Several of the other guests at the table agreed. Brought the manager over, he looked at, didn't think it was mould. Brought it to the kitchen and came back to tell us it was the "undisolved crystals from the pudding mix" they use. As these desserts are made in house every week. I frankly call BS as crystals are not blue/green and fuzzy! He offered to replace the dessert however I had lost my appetite by then.

Our waitress was amazing tho. She even told us that it looked like mould.

User

Went there New year's Eve for dinner. Quite annoyed to find they had put on a "special" menu for the night, which was outrageously overpriced from their usual fare. The waiter even had the audacity to claim that the prices were lowered for the night. Our table of 6 (with no booze) ended up costing us $375!!! On any other night, it costs us around $240 for the same table.

The Sawmill will no longer be a part of our New Year's celebrations. The fact that the night ends on a different year than it begins on is no excuse to GOUGE your loyal customers.

User

They do not even know what ingredients they use! They have NO interest in helping people with dietary restrictions!

We were planning to have a major party there, but had to confirm that there would be something for my wife to eat while there. She contacted them to find out about vegetarian options, and was told they were a steak house and were not interested in making anything special for her. She asked about what cheese they used in their salads to find out if it had rennin as an ingredient. We were told they did not know the ingredients of the cheese and were NOT willing to find out! Apparently they cannot even read the ingredient labels on their food constituents. And these were the comments that came from their executive chef.

Congratulations on loosing both my respect and a 50 person party!!!

User

The manager here is the biggest asshole I've met. He spoke to me like I'm stupid and was very, very rude.

Our prime rib was under cooked. My son's steak was under cooked and when we complained the manager came out and argued with us. Never coming back here again. Brian Green is the name of the manager and I will be calling head office about him. The only good thing about the experience was the server, she was nice.

User

Horrible. Management has to be the rudest I've ever encountered. Staff are fine but the management is absolute garbage and it's embarassing. One manager named Brian should be fired on the spot for his lack of respect and disregard for common courtesy. Never in my life would I wish this restaraunt on my worst enemies. You get all that Brian?
