Julianna Armstrong
Creative Director and Lead Teacher

For the last 12 years Julianna has taught creative and performing arts workshops and classes to thousands of children all over the Greater Toronto Area. Now Jules, as she's known to the children, is bringing her passion and skills to Edmonton. Born and raised in the City of Champions, Julianna’s love of the arts began at an early age. Growing up, it was not unusual for the neighbours to be in the audience or even be the show that Jules and her brother Jarrett created. Her mom Wendy would open up her tickle trunk pulling out clown costumes, and hippie garb for Jules to use as she performed from the second floor of her playhouse. Her home was always filled with music, dancing, and every birthday party had a theme.
She spent her formative years studying music and theatre at Victoria School of the Arts where she was one of the original members of the first Kokopelli Youth Choir. In 1997, upon graduation, her love of music took her to Toronto to study Vocal Jazz at the renowned Humber College.
Following a two-year adventure teaching English to children in Thailand during the day and singing with local bands in the evenings, Julianna’s joy of theatre (particularly musical theatre) and art was reignited when she returned to Canada and began to teach for the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic School Board. Her passion for educating children in drama and the creative arts and her respect for each child soon made Jules one of the most popular teachers. In 2012, Julianna returned to Edmonton to create SCENE STEALERS.
