Scotian Style Take Out

excellent food. fresh fantastic east coast food highly recommend.

Went in to Scotian Style with a couple colleagues today, first time for 3 of us. First, the owner was great - creates the atmosphere that you want when you're out for lunch. Second, food was great - had the garlic fingers with donair meat and bacon, delicious. Tried a donair egg roll as well, it was quite tasty.



Food is good to great, the owner's attitude made it a fantastic visit and created a couple return customers today.

Ordered pizza, garlic fingers, donairs & pepperoni all for delivery to Nolan Hill a few months back when my dad was visiting from BC( we’re both originally from NS) Loved it! Delivery time was actually reasonable, food was still hot, and exactly what we had hoped for! Keep up the amazing work, can’t wait to order again soon!

Omg this place is so amazing!!!! If you love good old down east food, especially donairs then prepare to have your mind blown!!! Check them out and definitely try their donair egg rolls!!! Hand cut fries are fantastic as well!!!! Can't wait to go back!

Never disappointed! You cant rush perfection! We moved to Edmonton and loaded up when we came down this past weekend. Currently shoveling donair rolls in. Lobster mac and cheese was yesterday. As well as the 2 donairs. Bummed you were sold out of pepperoni but we will be back! (For a poutine as well. Cant get a poutine like that ANYWHERE!)

Love this place so much. All the comfort food from my childhood when I lived in Newfoundland.

Great food and finally got the donair meat perfect, was still okay when it was made the old way. This is the place to beat in Calgary now. Highly recommend this place! A++

Deep fried clams were delicious, tartar sauce was awesome! Donair meat lots of kick very tasty! First time there, meet follow maritimers that was great! Even meet one of the owner, great to see flavors from home! (PEI)

Crustless pizza was perfect! Love love love the sauce on the hot wings! And the deep-fried pepperoni was to die for! Will be back!

Best place in town. Try the Donair platter...freakin awesome!

Best fish and chips in the city. And if your seriously hungry you have to try and take down a XL Donair. It will leave you floored, best in city though used fresh products and perfectly cooked donair meat seasoned to perfection.

Be still my heart! Went in on Fathers Day and was not disappointed! I haven't had fish and chips like that since I lived home, and my husband was over the moon about his donair! Let us know if you ever get bar clams in!

Today was my first time ordering from here. I called to have an order delivered, was told that they wouldn't have a driver in until 1pm. Geri called saying that she would be delivering my order of battered mushrooms and fish and chips. An hour after Geri called, she arrived at my door, saying that the order had been redone so that it would be nice and warm when it arrived. I am a native Calgarian, with family in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. The coleslaw that came with the order, I wish there had been more. The fries, omg they were so good. The battered Mushrooms were fantastic. My fish was a bit on the almost overdone side, but it was still good. I did have the deep fried pickles once over a year ago, and they are so good. I can't wait to try the fries, dressing, and gravy, that I saw advertised awhile ago. I will be ordering again. I just hope that it won't take an hour again to get the food. I will give the delay a pass due to the road conditions today.

Had the lobster roll today and it was delicious. Hubby had the super donair, also delicious. I was sad as there was no Daves or pineapple crush. Coming from 4 hours north so it is not easy to stop in to get either of them. Hopefully in the future I will have better luck.

Had a donair on Friday afternoon...is it suppose to be cold ? And the sauce was not thick like I remember? Very runny and so messy !! It was ok but I was kinda disappointed ...

Two hour wait for food after told 45-1hr. Food was ok but there wasn’t much of a flavour to anything. We were full but that was it. Gravey was good.

After hearing about it and seeing people talk we were excited to try it. Won’t be going out of the way though to get it again.

I’ve had the Pictou County pizza from here before and the garlic fingers but something was off about the pizza this time. The pepperoni was honey garlic and wasn’t hot brothers pepperoni. Garlic fingers were good though! I would like to say the manager reached out and was refunded. It was a mistake that was resolved and I will give their donair and garlic fingers another shot. Thanks Scotian style!

I was very excited to discover this place, and had been wanting to try it out. Tonight we ordered for delivery, delivery time was good (pretty much exactly as long as the lady on phone told me within hr) delivery guy ( jamie I think?) Was very nice also. We ordered Oven Sub Combo and Garlic Fingers. Garlic Fingers were fantastic, Oven Subs on other hand were cold, so cold there was even unmelted cheese on both. Honestly would have been 5 stars no doubt, and we will try again probably cause like I said....Garlic Fingers and Donair Sauce were top notch...Nothing compares to down east goodies.

Gave it a second chance in the last few days. I ordered 2 donairs. Bread was good, sauce was good, tomatoes were good. However meat was too spicy and way too many onions. Again, not Nova Scotia Style that I remember.

Disappointed for the second time. I heard that pizza is good but apprehensive to try it.
