Alex Senkiw has well over a decade of experience working with affluent individuals, families and their closely held entities serving as a Financial Advisor and Division Director at Investors Group. He currently runs a Calgary-based practice with three assistants, and manages over 350 client family groups with approximately $80, 000, 000 in assets.
In 2001, Alex became a Certified Managerial Accountant and spent several years gaining diverse financial experience as a Corporate Accountant, Finance Manager, and Tax Specialist. He started with Investors Group in 2008, and his extensive financial background and leadership skills earned him a spot as one of the top consultants in the company today.
Throughout his career with Investors Group he has earned some of the company’s most prestigious awards, including the Pillar Award¹ for exceptional productivity and growth, and the 2012 & 2013 Presidents Elite², awarded to top 1% of Investors Group consultants. He took on the role of Division Director in October of 2012 and won the TOP award (placing 18th out of 400 Division Directors) in his first year.
Alex sets himself and his practice apart by ensuring a written financial plan is provided to every client, believing this is a key to successfully becoming affluent. His accounting background also helps him focus his recommendations on how to save money on taxes, which is a vital part of reaching financial goals for Canadians. Alex credits aggressive goal setting and strong team support for keeping him on track to early success.
Alex graduated with a degree in Business and Economics from the University of Western Ontario, and has completed numerous industry courses including the CFP, CSC, CPH, and LLQP. He is a member of the Unilever Pension Board of Directors, and is a noted public speaker for investment education.
