Really liked our experience buying a bday gift for my mom. I will be back to get more stuff for myself too!

After years of feeling forced to shop at Fabricland due to a lack of other options, I am so happy to have discovered this shop. You won't find the full range of fabrics types here (focus is on quilting fabrics), or the full range of notions, but you will get excellent service and good quality fabric.The fabric is well organized and laid out in a way that makes it easy to pull a bolt off the shelf (which is not always the case in fabric stores I have found). The staff are SO FRIENDLY and knowledgeable , offering help with converting measurements and estimating quantities, giving advice on fabric choice, techniques, etc. Best of all, the shop and the staff realize that many sewers are also parents - they have a small play area for children and welcome kids warmly. When I go there, I am able to enjoy the time and focus on my selection instead of being terrified my child is going to accidentally knock a table of fabric over while being a kid. On the repair side of things, I did have to wait a long time for a call back and eventual repair on my machine, but it was affordable and the front desk staff also helped me weigh out whether the potential cost of the diagnosis and repair would be justifiable based on the value of my machine. Over all, excellent service.

Great fabric selection and excellent sales. I was not thrilled with their aggressive salespeople when looking at purchasing a machine. I received many phonecalls urging me to buy and it actually discouraged me from buying. I instead chose to buy a Janome from the retailer in Edmonton since I already have a relationship with them (I highly recommend Johnsons).

I would have given 3 stars until I read the comments from the "owner" here on Google. They are in very poor taste and claim zero responsibility.

Unreliable and irresponsible. Employees would place the blame on my side for their mistakes, even goin so far as the "manager" saying he would "fire me" for being rude to his employees when the most I did was inquire when my machine would be ready. (I was originally told it would take 2-3 weeks to be done, but after 2 weeks the mechanic hadn't even looked at it. I ended up waiting for 5 weeks to get my machine fixed.) I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone, ever!!!
