Sharing Stories is a non profit community organization based in Calgary, Alberta. It’s goal is to bring members together to discuss and share experiences and issues relevant to the community.

Sharing Stories Of Calgary Description

Sharing Stories was born of founder River Wearmouth's realization that the storie he had once heard at his Grandfather's funeral were to be lost for ever as no one really knew the details, Tea Time in 2013 in an effort to discover other individual's stories that could also have potentially been lost. From this, Sharing Stories was born.

Sharing stories is a project to create community, around the idea of stories and story telling, each month has a different theme and each month speakers will share their stories on the theme at hand and create dialogue for all those who attend. we believe in a very open format, and sharing stories main goal is to create a feeling of a community and connection.

Sharing Stories is held every third Friday of the month at the Old Y (now the Community Wise Resource Centre) at #101 – 223 12 Ave SW. Sharing Stories is a pay what you can event, with a suggested donation of $5 to help pay for room rental. However, if you are unable to contribute, you are still more than welcome, and encouraged to attend.
