I think the name pretty much says it all. I've noticed a number of items priced equal or higher than new products.

This place has the pawnshop game down to a science and if you don't do your research about the value of the item you're looking for, it's easy to get taken for a ride. They have a great selection and helpful staff but be prepared to pay top dollar. Negotiation isn't out of the question here though, and they do have a nice collection of instruments and recording equipment. Watch out for outdated pricing though. Older games, DVDs, consoles and some other formerly expensive items are still priced high many years after they held that value.

I came in looking for one thing and left with two. Their sales staff is good at pushing sales, which can be good or bad. This does make the team very attentive to you and your requests.
Sales guys offered to look for things in their warehouse for me multiple times to make sure that the unit I had in hand was what I actually wanted and they didn't have something else I wanted better.

Multiple agents offered to help.

Sales guy offered to let me bring in all my music gear to test size of the rackmount case I was looking at.

Other than the friendly staff and prompt service, that is all that awarded them 1 star, I would give them 0 stars if it were possible. I've never dealt with the money pawning side of this business, but the sales side is laughable, they refused to acknowledge Amazon as even a remote "competitor", and they refused to price match a price on Amazon. That 100% lost my business. Hello Amazon, and goodbye SHARKY'S if they do not change their ways soon... 👋

Had a great experience with the Gentleman at Sharky's yesterday. Went in with some items to pawn/sell got a fair price for them and turned around and bought a sweet sound system for my girlfriend's living room which they also gave me a great price on. Walked away with a smile. As far as the guys who work there, they where nothing but helpful and respectful towards both me and my son. They offered to help bring items in from my truck and also helped me carry out the sound system. Overall had a great experience! Keep it up guys!!

I was looking for a computer monitor and had a couple lined up from Kijiji. I was running short on time and figured I'd check them out. I haven't been in a pawn shop in years, and I'm surprised they even exist anymore.
I couldn't believe what they were asking for things. I mean it's a pawn shop. We all know they paid $5-$20 for these monitors yet they were asking over $100. These were old, well used monitors. $100+ for a 15" LCD? Seriously? They must be laundering money or something cause I can't imagine there are that many people who buy used things, with no warranty or real idea how it works, or where it came from for more then new retail prices.
