Absolutely horrible. I went in with my foot in so much pain I could barely walk. Second time this has happened out of nowhere in 3 months, and they told me to come back if I was still having trouble with it. So I do, and they look at it, do xrays and say that there's "nothing wrong with it". Uhh, except for the fact that I can't walk for no reason, right? Nothing wrong with it!? What kind of health care is this? My foot is badly bruised and causing me enough pain to keep me from walking, and they're telling me there's nothing wrong with it? Really putting that med school to work there.

The nurses and everyone else were wonderful. Beyond useless doctors. Don't bother if you can avoid it.

My first time here with a bad slice on my index finger - Last night (11:30) The triage nurse wrapped it temporarily. Then I found out there was a 3.5 hour wait ahead of me - NOT! I went home instead. This is just not acceptable for an emergency clinic. I asked her about public parking in the big lot outside with about 196 of the 200 stalls sitting empty. She replied it is reserved for staff only. In the morning I had to take the wrap off and to prevent sticking and my finger is still bleeding profusely.

Dr Clarkson was amazing. She covered everything in great detail and made sure I had all my questions answered. Thomas was amazing, funny and caring. He brought me an ice pack to use while waiting to see the doctor and made my visit seem very personalable and nice. Definitely will be going back here for the future. This facility is very fortunate to have these two professionals working for them.

This review is specific for the Travel clinic for Sheldon Chumir Centre. The service at this clinic is shameful and I'm honestly surprised that certain staff members are allowed to work there as their licence should be revoked.

I came in to take vaccinations for travel purposes and the nurse giving me the vaccinations tried to 'sell me' other vaccinations and tests that were done on me beforehand and insisted I take them even after being clearly told that these tests were performed on me before. Why would I pay for something out of my own pocket for tests that I had already done. As a person working in the health care field and having some knowledge of basic ethics that must be followed, I found this treatment entirely shocking. It's quite disturbing to see such health care workers taking advantage of patients.

Also, after telling this female that I don't want the other vaccines, she appeared clearly irritated and without answering my question further about when the next dose of my specific vaccine needs to be taken, gave me the shot when I wasn't entirely ready for it and had not even agreed to it.

Such service is beyond any rating. Patient consent is a basic ethical principle that maybe this female should open an ethics book and read. The treatment is entirely unethical and don't expect anything good from your visit here.

Pregnant woman with blurred vision, light headed and chest pain so the nurses tell me I should just "take Tylenol and deal with it, you're pregnant if you didn't expect this you probably aren't ready" thanks ... From a former nurse who USED TO WORK HERE ... Shame. Gone down hill and definitely never coming back. Drs are good but overworked, actually listened to my lungs and said I have bronchitis... Glad I "took Tylenol" and "dealt with it"

I went to the travel clinic here. Some of the nurses seemed to just want us in and out instead of walking us through the procedure. They may perform these tasks daily but as a newcomer the procedures are not always transparent to us.

Decent facility, well maintained and good doctors. Currently they do not have an ultrasound diagnosis facility and for some reason medicenters aren't aware of this. AHS needs to ensure that there are systems that allow for better communication and resource tracking to ensure less wasteful time and overall better care for patents in emergency.

Any time you go I to a clinic won't a foot injury I feel like you have a LONG wait .. today I was lucky that there weren't that many people here but really that all of thr staff that assisted me from the moment I walked in were total rock stars.

The nurses are really nice! Some of the doctors are great. BUT 1 doctor in particular left such a bad impression that I will never go there again. I waited 2.5 hrs feeling that my head would explode from whatever I had and possibly have - by the way I was told to go back by another doctor. If you are not physically broken DO NOT bother going. Just go to the hospital in that case. I could not believe how condescending, belittling and dismissive this doctor was; telling me in his jeans and cowboy belt buckle that my case is not something an "emergency room" Doctor such as himself would deal with. Dr. Amin did not care AT ALL. I think the busiest part of the city should have way better service. I was prepped by nurses assuring me I'd be taken care of. They told me I would get my blood taken and checked for multiple things. And I wish that they could've taken care of me.

Long wait times, treated like a junkie, no parking.. nothing but I am sorry from the staff and nurses while doctors are busy talking about rock climbing and their weekend/upcoming days off. Do you all not understand we as your patients have lives?? I for one work.. hard and honest might I add... and in coming in at the ONLY time I had, was willing to wait the said hour and a half the board said (actually 2 hours until I got into the back) at which point my meter expired. I went out to plug the meter (3 MINUTES LATE!! 3!!!) to find the ONE and only thing the city of Calgary is good at.. giving parking tickets. I plugged the meter again, waited in back being told I was next for over half an hour. ... my meter ran out... at that point I could not wait any longer. Not only can I not afford the ticket I got, I cannot afford another and have to get to my 2nd job IN TRYING TO SURVIVE. So Thank You Sheldon Chumir. Not only did I walk out with ABSOLUTELY NO HELP, still in pain and at a loss as to the root cause, but I am also out an oil change and groceries for the MONTH in order to pay for this ticket. Never again. You can keep your junkies and downtown worker crowd whom have absolutely nothing better to do than sit on their duff all damn day waiting around for some half assed doctor to show his face.
Nice touch on the needle station in the waiting room though... adds some real ambiance no?

I visited the travel clinic in March and purchased three 'prescriptions' (ie. the cost of the doctor writing each prescription) that I was recommended for my trip. I was informed that these prescriptions would be sent off to my pharmacy and be available until my trip.

It is now getting towards the end of April and my prescriptions have yet to be signed off on by a doctor or faxed because the clinic doctor was on vacation and there is a backlog. I should have been informed about this fact and proxy for his position should've been available if the clinic decided to still take money for this service.

This is a cost-recovery clinic and I understand the need for individuals to pay out of pocket for services. However, it is unethical to bill for a service that the clinic is unable to provide for upwards of a month after the charge. I am extremely disappointed and would have been highly irate if my trip date had been any earlier.
