Shoppers Drug Mart

I've rarely had an issue filling prescriptions here. I usually use their phone refill so I usually pick up a prescription later in the day or the following day. If I have a brand new prescription, I don't mind waiting. Drop it off, browse around, pop by Starbucks for a coffee---no big deal. Some of the pharmacy staff is hit and miss...some are very friendly, some are not. The only *minor* issue I've ever had was they did not carry enough pills to fill my prescription so had to order more. I paid for the full prescription up front and they said they would call in a few days when the rest of my prescription arrived in their order. They did not call the day they said they would and I had to follow up a couple of times. Not a big deal, considering I've been using this pharmacy since 2011 and that was the only issue I could think of.

Beautiful, very big location. I love the beauty boutique, much better than the one down in signal hill. I seldom actually deal with employees while I’m there, which is why i give it only 4 stars. Sometimes i need help or have questions and rarely employees are anywhere to be found. This is pretty normal with shoppers drug mart locations though so i dont pick on just them for that.

This pharmacy is absolutely the worst. What a crew of incompetents they are. It's no surprise to see how many bad reviews they have here. They completely forgot about a pain medication after my elderly mom had foot surgery. She went for 24 hours without it because they refused to fill it for my dad, and then completely lost track of it despite calls from her doctor, and from my dad. It was cancelled and my dad had to go through another pharmacy. How can people this stupid and this irresponsible be allowed to work at Shopper's Drug Mart, let alone anywhere else that requires you to simply fulfill your job description?

All in all good service, great stop over, but while waiting for a proscription I noticed something I did not like...
How would you feel if you knew your feminine hygiene products where being kicked along the floor because the staff personal decided to kick a lonely always with wings across the floor to finally restock as trying to hold them all was more convenient than using a cart , not impressed at that but other than that shoppers does aim to please

After reading some of the other reviews, people are quite harsh about the service at this pharmacy. We use this pharmacy, because it's close to where we live. This pharmacy is very, very busy. From what I can tell, they process alot of prescriptions. So I've been told many times a prescription will take 30 minutes or even an hour. Yeah it will take long to get a prescription, deal with it. However, I've come to the pharmacy 10 minutes before close and brought a prescription for antibiotics for my son and they filled it out right away, just before the close, because they understood the urgency. So I can only say, they have done right by me on numerous occasions. They definitely could have more pharmacy staff to process more of the prescriptions, but it is what it is. Everybody that posted a super negative post are probably impatient or think they are entitled or are just haters. Whatever.

I went to refill my prescription and was informed that it could not be refilled because I should not yet be out of my pills. I was supposed to receive 100 pills last time I filled the prescription and have now run out after 60 days. Either they made a mistake and managed to forget to give me the full prescription, or someone at this location is stealing medication from large prescriptions. I will now be counting my pills before accepting them.
