Ski Cellar Snowboard - Midtown

My fave Ski shop. Smart staff. Better than online pricing. A Calgary icon which has learned it's reputation is based on customer service. It's easy to support small retailers like this because they earn your business.

I've always enjoyed chatting with the knowledgeable staff at Ski Cellar (mostly the 17th Ave location, but I've also gone to MacLeod in the past). They listen well to what I've been looking for and as a result, I've always been happy with products and never have returned anything.

As owner of A Laptop Shoppe, I am also a veteran ski instructor , this professional, experienced, Calgary iconic ski and snowboard store and service center is well worth the visit.

I usually have such a good experience as I got my last boots here! However the sales person was convinced that I should get too small of boots. Darn! I have usually always liked this place.

The 17th Ave and Bowness locations are stellar. Ask for MacKenzie at 17th and Jessie at Bowness if you want the best of the best. Really knowledgeable, friendly guys. Highly recommend.

They did an amazing job on my snowboard. All the other shops couldn't repair. Above expectations.

The store has a good selection of items, but the staffs are very poorly trained, pretending they know what they are talking about, misleading and not caring about customers if they can't sell. I have a pair of snowboard boots purchased 8 months ago, still within the warranty. Its boa lace was broken and I took it to them. The staffs there refused to do anything, claiming "it's a manufacturing warranty and you have to contact the manufacturer". However, the manufacturer i.e. K2, told me the dealer were supposed to take the boots in and contact them on my behalf to arrange for a replacement or repairing. In short, if you are a novice, buying entry level stuff and not worrying about warranty issues, it's a good place to get you going. But just don't count on future servicing from them if anything goes wrong. I would never deal with them again personally. There are better place in town with much better servicing.
