The Alberta government has signed a 20-year deal that will involve building three solar power facilities between Calgary & Medicine Hat, which will supply government properties with 55% of their power, saving an estimated $3.9 million per year of public dollars, on electricity costs.
‘’Alberta is one of the best places in the world to invest in renewable energy. I am so proud to take another huge step in advancing solar energy in Alberta while creating good local jobs and saving millions of public dollars," said Environment Minister Shannon Phillips in a news release.

The Irish start up was founded by three friends with a passion for watersports, Rash'R wanted to bring to market something for similar enthusiasts while contributing to a cleaner ocean.
Each of the rash guards are created with high performance, sustainable techno-fabric made of 100pc recycled polyester which comes from waste, including fishing nets, carpets and other waste collected from the sea.
