Soak-Off Gel Nails (Calgary)

My name is Jo Jo and I perform Gelish /Shellac nail services as well as facial and body waxing at home. I have earned myself an Honours Diploma from Delmar College of Hair and Esthetics and am currently, and conveniently, located in Downtown Calgary.

** Most of my nail art /designs focus on the Japanese culture, with frequent us of gems, jewels, lace, sparkles and sculpting 3D objects by using something called "cream gel". This 3D nail art is not your typical 'already-built bow /skull /etc', but instead is anything of your choice that I directly BUILD on the nail. The entire surface area of the object will be 100% secured onto the nail, without any rough edges or damage.
Sunshine Babe is mainly the brand that I use and is shipped from either Japan or Hong Kong. I DO NOT do Acrylic Nails, and may only use Hard Gel if tips need to be applied (preferably not), as I believe it does not assist the nail in growing healthy /strong.
**Prices start at $40 + depending on the difficulty level chosen (includes manicure touch-up)

Shellac /Gelish goes directly on your natural nail and has minimal damage to the nail bed compared to Acrylic /Gel Nails. Slight buffing of the nail is required to ensure there is absolutely no oil or moisture on the nail before the application. Removal may be done by filing or soaking your fingers with acetone for 10-15mins. I would strongly recommend using OPI Nail Envy (Original) , or which ever nail strengthener you prefer, after the removal.

Facial & Body Waxing include: Eyebrows, Lip, Chin, Jawline, Nose or Full Face --------- Underarms, Arms, Back, Tummy, Bikini, Californian, Brazilian and Legs
*Epillyss Cream Wax, Berins Blue Wax & GiGi All purpose wax is what I use
** Blue /Hard wax is strongly recommended in the Underarm AND Bikini area for those that have sensitive or thin skin. This type of wax acts like a polymer, grips around the hairs only, and do not damage the skin at all; causing less irritation, bumpiness and redness.
***You must be off all skin medications (ex. accutane) and some blood thinners for at least 6 months prior to any waxing. Glycolic peels and microdermabrasion is not allowed 2 weeks before and after the service to prevent over exfoliation of the skin.
