Sobeys - Royal Oak

Love it here! Customer service is fantastic

Beginning to notice the deficiencies at this location and likely won't be returning in the future. At least a half dozen times I have been forced to wait 10-15 minutes for service at the meat counter, and most times had to resort to having someone paged. The most recent visit I found their meat counter was closed even though it was literally just after dinner (around 7pm, and they are open until 11pm). Finally I purchased some cheese only to find it was covered in mould when opened. I just don't think this location places a high value on quality and customer service and other recent reviews seem to confirm that, which is a shame.

This is the worst Sobeys I’ve ever shopped at. The produce is often old and wilted, items are constantly out of stock and they never have enough cashiers , and when there are Cashiers they are often standing around chatting with each other and not actually at their tills.
Another complaint is that they change around their produce on a seemingly daily basis, so often you can’t find simple things like tomatoes or onions because they’ve been moved somewhere different.
Lastly, the layout of the store makes no sense, items that should be sorted in certain categories are completely out of the way in a different isle (this is in comparison to other Sobey stores).
The management needs to seriously give this store a major overhaul.
I’m going back to shopping at the Nolan Hill location instead.

Would give 5 stars if they stopped switching around the locations of the onions, limes, lemons, and avocado. Yes I love guacamole, no I don't need help.

Clean, well stocked and even tho is usually quite busy cashing it never takes that long

This store always seems to be out of items. They need to evaluate their inventory practises. It is futile to bring this issue to their customer service department. Also their produce manager needs to be fired. How can they boast about freshness when the produce is wilted and old.

We purchased what was supposed to be a Sterling Silver Beef tenderloin Steak .. when we BBQ'ued to a perfect medium rare it was tough as nails.

Leading me to believe it was either Mislabelled or a piece of junk at 55 dollars a KG. I tried to return it within a half hour and was told from Iris that she can not do that , even tough she was the manager on duty . then she accused me of being drunk and some other dude, Not a manager got involved and started laughing and mocking me.

The produce sucks and as a 12 year customer . at this store will never return .

So where does Iris and her store owner lose this train of Company policy
