About Soft Tissue Rehab

"Our goal is to fix your problem, regardless of how long you have had it and regardless of what other types of treatment you have tried, so you never suffer from it again and never require future treatment, braces, medications, or orthotics.

Soft Tissue Rehab Description

Conditions we treat:

•Headaches

•Plantar Fasciitis
•Neck and Back Pain
•Shoulder Pain
•Jaw Pain

•Elbow, Wrist, and Forearm Pain
•Carpal Tunnel
•Sciatica
•Ankle Pain and Chronic Sprains
•Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries

Over and over again people have been saying things like “I didn’t know you could fix that?” People have many problems that they are suffering from, sometimes for years, simply because they haven’t heard of the new treatments available. Many of these problems can be fixed, often permanently, within a few sessions. So I decided to put some information together that lets people know what problems and conditions I have had success with. I am a fully credentialed Active Release Techniques (ART) provider and have been certified since 2000, a certified Graston Technique (GT) provider since 2004, a chiropractor, and a massage practitioner.

Active Release Techniques (ART)

Active Release is a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. The treatment is not related in any way to spinal adjusting or manipulation. Abnormal tissues, built up scar tissue and adhesions, are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. These treatments protocols – over 500 of them – are unique to ART. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. ART is not a cookie-cutter approach. The treatment is non-invasive, very safe, has virtually no side-effects and has a record for producing very good results which are often permanent. Most conditions require between 2 and 10 visits and take between 6 and 15 minutes each. For more information on ART please visit www. activerelease.com.

Conditions treated with ART that have shown an extremely high percent of success include:
•Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) & other nerve entrapments
•Spinal Pain & Dysfunction
•Tendonitis & other soft tissue inflammatory disorders of the hand, wrist & elbow, shoulder (including rotator cuff), hip, knee, ankle & foot (including plantar fascitis)
•Sciatica, TMJ, recurrent sprains & strains, including recurring ankle sprains

The Graston Technique

The Graston Technique, originally developed by athletes, is changing the way clinicians (including athletic trainers, chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists) and patients view treatment of acute and chronic soft tissue injuries.

The Graston Technique is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

Effective for:
•Headaches
•Neck and Back Pain
•Tennis and Golfers elbow
•Leg and knee pain
•Plantar Fasciitis
