I have been a member at Spa lady for 4 years now and I have enjoyed my workout experience until recently. I was approached by a trainer named Danielle and she asked my friend and I if we were interested in a free fitness consultation. My friend and I were not that interested as she explained that she was a new member of the spa lady team but Danielle was persistent and talked about her years of experience in the industry. So we set up a consultation and first she takes our measurements and weight and we talk about our fitness goals. I am currently 17 years old and obviously if I'm going to the gym I already want to get in shape and feel bad about my weight. My height is 5'1 and my weight at the time was 150 pounds. Danielle told me that for my height I needed to lose 72 pounds which would then make me 87 pounds?! She told me that a healthy start would be 110 pounds so i would be able to fight a cold. After that I obviously felt bad because she made me feel like i had to identify myself with a number on a scale. She did my friends measurements afterward and asked her about her bra size, which is a 36DD, her response was so ignorant as she asked if those were hard to find and if she needed to buy them from a custom made store which she obviously didn't. We then proceeded to do our workout and she told us about minor adjustments but encouraged us and told us we did a good job, but then after at the end she told us we were doing all these things wrong. I was wondering why she dint correct us while we were doing it instead of making us feel attacked. Her approach was terrible. She was saying things like yeah your core is weak and your arms are weak you couldn't even do one push up. You have pigeon feet. Which is true but she could have taken the care to say these things in a positive way encouraging me to work on my skills instead of making me ashamed of my body. So yeah basically spa lady is a great establishment but some of the trainers definitely do not act in an appropriate way .

I love this gym, the trainers and staff at reception are so friendly and helpful. Its pretty big has all the equipments and machines required for a good workout. A little pricy though but i don't mind paying for it as it has strength training circuits to free weights to group classes> specially Zumba !

Great atmosphere. Ladies only. Helpful, friendly staff. Lots of group class options included in membership. Plenty of equipment. Personal trainers available but not required. Approx $40/month with one year term.

Been going here for over 10 years. They have an amazing group fitness program and it's less expensive than other gyms

I was offered two free months upon signing an year contract that ended up being a scam. The contract didn't end the day it was supposed to in fact carried forward to next year for another two months and I was charged annual maintenance fee for next year even after I cancelled my contract . Also their one year contract is recurring. Please be very careful while signing contract with these people. Their personal training program was the most ineffective training ever. And if you want to encounter the rudest customer service please call their head-office.
