Went for the lunch buffet and the food was really good! Restaurant was clean and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. Will go back.

We-my family and me-visited Spice Affair...Kids enjoyed food and we loved it, its authentic specially Shahi paneer was awesome and remembered taste of my favorite restaurant in Mumbai.

Great food and Excellent service.....all Staff including servers and chef's were very friendly and really caring.

We will visit them more frequently and always recommend to all of my friends....

We had organized a party at Spice affairs, and absolutely loved the food and ambience. They also allowed us to bring our own cake for the party, and had agreed to make a reservation for 15 people over a busy long weekend. The chef and the manager were accomodative of our needs, and would highly recommend it for the food and the amazing service.

We ate food at this place. It's the best restaurant to go taste a little bit of India. I ate buffet of rice, chicken soup, buttered chicken, rice pudding....very yummy for only $14!

The food is amazing.

The service is really nice.

Super great food. Both times I had the buffet...one suggestion is to have plenty of food in the warmers as I am usually one a 1/2 hr lunch break and do not have time to sit and wait for more to be added if i want seconds. Otherwise..great food great hosts here. Enjoy!!

The 12.99 lunch Buffett has more choices than any place I've ever been and the guy working the floor was more than happy to offer extras For us as we came close to the end of the eating window.... He brought us out fresh rice (steamed and coconut) as well as fresh naan. And ever served us a delicious rice pudding for dessert. 5 star food and service for an incredible price :) we will be back.

So deliciously delicious! I highly recommend it! Their lunch buffet has a nice variety of all sorts of wonderful dishes.

Simply say, superb.. we went with family there and it was awesome experience . Must go place in NW.

Seriously Thee BEST Indian food I have ever had the pleasure of eating! The flavors are out of this world, the seasoning is on point and the spiciness is perfect �. I want to bring everyone I know to come eat here! And I’m not yet engaged, but I definitely want the Chef, Vinod, to cater my wedding �.

My experience at this restaurant was superb, food was exactly as per my taste. I am restricted to some ingredients but Darshan and his chef took care for my order. The staff is very friendly. I strongly recommend this restaurant with superb and tasty food.

My experience at this new restaurant was truly amazing, food was beyond my expectations, I went there with some of my friends for dinner , so we tried quite few things on menu , and each dish was bang on mark with taste and balance of spice .

Excellent food. Spice Affair is my new favourite Indian restaurant in Calgary. The Tandoori fish was suggested & totally lived up to my expectations as being extremely flavorful & delicious as were the goat biryani; chicken chettinad & gulab jamun. My compliments to the chief chef Vinod Bhatt & Darshan for the food & the service.

We tried Chicken 65 it so yummy and so was the Rice Kheer which was Chef Vinod’s special. Highly recommend this place for delicious Indian food. A definite try for everyone who love Indian cuisine.

As lovers of Indian cuisine, my wife and I were excited to learn a new restaurant was opening up here in Royal Oak. We went the first week it opened in mid-February and have been four more times since ... and it's only been just over a month! Suffice it to say the food is simply outstanding. They have a comprehensive menu with great variety and something for everyone. Everything we've had has been so unique and flavourful. We already have some favourites such as Chat Papdi, Vegetable Korma, Butter Chicken (of course), Chicken Vindaloo, and the coup de grace, the Beef Stew, which is just amazing! If you're around for lunch, I highly recommend the buffet, which features the best of the best including hot, freshly made Naan.



We also love the ambiance, with its simple burgundy and grey decor, intimate lighting, and best of all, Indian music playing in the background.



And as for the owners, I can't say enough about DJ and Vinod. Each time we've visited they made us feel like we're the only patrons in the restaurant—taking the time to chat, recommend dishes, and adjust spices to our taste. It is quickly apparent that both DJ and Vinod are both very genuine and passionate about making your dining experience a memorable one.



If you love Indian, or want to try Indian, I highly, highly recommend visiting DJ and Vinod at Spice Affair. They will take great care of you and your tastebuds! Cheers.
