SponsorMonster is a unique idea that came from real life stories of folks that could not attend post secondary school due to the costs that are involved. It changes how we approach giving. There have been a few people that I have walked past on the street, asking for money. Most of the time I don't have change in my pocket and use debit for everything. On those rare days that I have change or a $5 bill I wind up giving it to them, helping out where I can. I use that word "helping" liberally, as I'm not sure that it does a lot of good to someone living on the street. In the best case scenario, it actually does some good, . They buy a meal or whatnot, in the worst it may create more harm. It feels like I'm helping, regardless of the outcome.
