Sport Chek Market Mall

Very disappointed with the (absence of) service and lack of professionalism from the entire staff this afternoon. My dad was looking for a jacket for my mom for her birthday and one of the male sales associates continuously watched him for a couple minutes until he finally approached him saying "these are for women". My dad replied saying he is aware and is looking for a jacket for his wife. The sales associate promptly walked away without another word and called security. Security then proceeded to follow my dad around the store and numerous staff followed him as well while talking very loudly about his whereabouts and what he was looking at over their headsets. When my dad got to the front of the store and couldn't reach a jacket, he asked for assistance from a female sales associate. She used a hook to grab the jacket, handed it to him, then turned away from him and used her headset to let the rest of the staff know what product he was looking at and to be on watch. She then walked a couple feet away to watch him without saying anything else. None of the staff ever asked if he needed assistance the entire time he was shopping. My dad ended up buying a jacket but was still followed out by security. I'm not sure what the "trigger" was for them to go out of their way to do this other than that he was looking at womens jackets. It was unfortunate to watch this unravel. I was looking around a little ways away when it all began and overheard the staff, which is then why I stood on the sidelines to see how they would handle it. I think this was entirely unwarranted and inappropriate. Again, it was extremely disappointing to see the "situation" handled this way with such haste and so overtly. From talking to my dad about it afterwards, he said he knew exactly what was happening, clearly heard them speaking about him the entire time but does not have any other time to go shopping without my mom.

The store was renovated but is laid out poorly and is even more confusing to navigate than before. Didn't think that would even be possible. Seems like the kids, women's and men's sections just mix in together and it's hard to know where to go to find what you're looking for. Found at least on of the staff members to be rude, crossing right in front of me as I was walking down the isle. I had to stop so he didn't hit me and no apology was given, just acted as if I inconvenienced him by being there at all.

This store has friendly staff and is undergoing an incredible expansion will look really good... come second quarter 2018

i always come here when i need to find some sweet new gears, never a disappointment

One of the worst experiences I have ever had shopping. I went in to buy a pair of skates and was initially ignored by all the sales staff. Finally I was able to flag someone down and he seemed like he couldn't care less. I found a pair of skates that I liked and got them heated up in the oven to be formed to my feet. Then my sales guy disappeared. I take them off and I tried to get my newly purchased skates sharpened and was met by a very high strung young lady, who also seemed like I was the last person she wanted to see as well. She finally helped me and, with attitude, she told me that they were busy and that it would take an hour to get my new skates sharpened. I come back in a hour and a half later and finally met someone helpful who actually helped me (so not all bad I guess). Until I wore the skates for the first time, they had only sharped one edge of the skates making them unusable. I don't think I would ever go back to this location or buy any hockey equipment from Sport Chek ever again.

Decent selection. A bit overpriced. Friendly staff

Many products to choose from and good quality. Good customer service and return policy. Lots of free parking, easy access to the store. You can do a lot of Christmas shopping here and in this mall.

Huge selection of articles and sometimes they have good deals on items. I do feel that they could have more men's boots to choose from.
