I have a deep passion for music.
It was developed early in my life and nurtured through the many amazing teachers, friends and colleagues who I consider myself lucky to make music with to this day.
As your teacher my goal is to discover what it is that inspires you musically and help you develop that interest as far as you are willing to take it.

My teaching style is always adapted to each particular student's interests and if there's one thing I've learned after 15 years of teaching it's that no two students are alike! One might want to learn some simple songs for his grandchildren, or music for his daughter's wedding. Another might be a young aspiring heavy metal virtuoso. One might want to focus on music theory and notation and another might want to avoid it entirely. I am here to serve as your guide, to help you find the ability to create music on your own.

I strongly believe that learning music needs to be fun and enjoyable which is why I typically gear lessons towards working on material that is relevant to the student's area of interest. Music theory gets applied in just the right doses as it becomes appropriate to the level of the student.
Typically St. Albert Guitar Lessons has one recital at the end of the year for those that want to showcase their talents! These are always a lot of fun and I encourage my students to attend even if they aren't comfortable performing.
