Frank Selinger is owner-operator of St. Georges Stables Ltd.

At St George's Stable we pride ourselves on providing a safe, comfortable home for our equine athletes. Our focus is less on window dressing and more on high quality, practical solutions that allow for comfort and health.

Frank's passion for the sport of Show Jumping and development of young horses and riders is exemplified through the care and attention he provides all his clients and guests at St Georges.

The first thing you will notice when you arrive at St George's Stable is that the horses are truly happy! There is an atmosphere of calm and comfort surrounding the barn and riding areas. Frank personally ensures that all horses are fed top quality feeds and that they receive the individual attention they require to preform at the top of their ability. Staff is friendly, courteous and happy to help accommodate each horse's needs.

Horses are provided with spacious stalls, outdoor paddocks and the opportunity to use the "hot walker" (weather permitting). There are three separate riding areas - an indoor ring, outdoor sand ring, and the famous 'St. George's Derby field'.

We are also located conveniently next to Rocky Mountain Show Jumping, which allows for an easy ride over to the show!

As a professional trainer, Frank has years of experience in training and development of his young horses and riders of all ages.

In 1975 Frank won a bronze medal at the Pan American games and for the next three years he competed at Spruce Meadows on Canada's Nation Cup teams. Since those days, Frank has won 32 Grand Prix and has gained a reputation as an expert horseman. As well as his exploits as an international competitor, Frank is a renowned international coach. He has coached the North American Young Riders Team, coached in Asia and Australia and spent four years coaching the Malaysian equestrian team.
Frank has been coaching in Calgary for close to 40 years and has been a part of the success of almost all the local professionals at one time or another.

Today Frank can be found working with his young stock, coaching his students at St George's and teaching clinics across Canada and the United States. Frank is also actively involved in the importing and exporting of warmbloods between Canada and Europe. Further, he is an integral part of breeding and training Canadian Warmbloods with Edda Selinger, (wife of Joe Selinger). The centerpiece of their breeding operation is the stallion, Carthago Sun I. St George's Stable currently has a large number of Carthago Sun I offspring, in various levels of training.
