St. Mary's Elementary School is a K to 6 school in Fort Vermilion, Alberta.

St. Mary's Elementary School sits on River Road, facing the banks of the Mighty Peace. We have the privilege of breathtaking views throughout the seasons!

Approximately 140 children attend our school. We have ten teachers and eight educational assistants.

Our logo represents strength, endurance, forward thinking and collaboration.

St. Mary's is a PAX school. PAX teaches students self-regulation, self-control, and self-management in context of collaborating with others for peace, productivity, health and happiness.

Our school prides itself on its inclusive education model. Success is cultivated in many forms and celebrated often. We embrace uniqueness and our school family supports each other.

Extra curricular opportunities include, but are not limited to: choir, cheerleading, dance, citizenship club, recycling club, student council, art show, public speaking, robotics club, iron chef club, soccer, basketball, authors' lunch, various sports events, talent show, science fair club, hand-games team, etc.

Monthly assemblies are held to showcase and celebrate student successes.
