I brought my truck in for a oil change and a rear transfercase output seal on the 21st of July When I was checking the truck in I had requested that they not flash my ECM or use a computer on it as my truck had 3rd party tuning and it's not required in any way for the repairs required . I was staying in town camping for only the weekend. I got a call to pick up my truck Saturday and drove to the campsite. Sunday came around hitched up the fifth and hit the highway. About 5 minutes north of town I noticed my oil pressure was reading 0 on the gauge. Out of precaution I made arrangements go move/store my RV and get my family and I home (4hr drive).

On July 24th I got a call early in the morning to inform me that coincidentally while in their care there was a oil pressure sender failure and it would be around $250 to repair. I said it must have been something they had done but the service manager was not hearing it and informed me that I was wrong and it was a coincidence. I did not want to argue anymore so agreed to the cost and repair. Just after lunch I got another call to tell me that the sender was not the problem and it was in fact my Engine ECM that needed to be replaced at a cost of $2700. It took them the better part of 3hrs to diagnose a ECM failure. This seemed a little premature to me. After letting the service manager know that it is way too much of a coincidence to have a ECM failure while in their care and control that it had to be something they had done. Multiple phone conversations later I was told again it was not any fault of theirs and it was all on me. I then asked that my truck be parked outside their shop and I would come get it when I had some days off work.

On August 2nd I went to go pick up my truck. This was nine days since I had dropped my truck of for the second time. I went in to collect my keys and was given a work order that required $250 payment for an oil pressure sender. I informed the service writer that I don't feel I should have to pay for a repair that did not fix my problems. The service manager then came over and I talked with him for about 5 minutes and he didn't seem to have any idea of the situation. I then told him that we had talked in detail a few days earlier about the "work" done on my truck and he himself said that I would not have to pay for a repair that did not fix my truck. He then looked at me and said " I talked to a lot of people about a lot of things last week. But would write it off as good will" good will!!! Seriously?

Eventually I get my keys and head out to my truck and can't get out of there fast enough. I get in my truck and it is stone dead, won't even light up the cluster when the key is turned. Now considering I have never had to boost my truck in its 7 year exsistance I'm less than thrilled I now need to go back into this dealer and talk to the service manager again. In short order there is a mechanic out to boost my truck. The tech that came out was sympathetic with the situation I explained as we were boosting my truck. So we get the truck running and the tech is in the cab and says to me " you were showing no oil pressure right?" I replied "correct no oil pressure at the gauge." He then reviels that there is in fact a reading on the oil pressure gauge. I then drove away thinking that they had tried to get me to buy an 2700 dollar part based on 3 hrs of troubleshooting and it was obviously not the problem. After getting home I have had to boost the truck both times I've had to use it. I called St. Paul dodge on Sept 5th after boosting for the 3rd time. Turns out the svc. Manager has been let go and I was now talking to the dealer gm. I told him this entire situation and how I feel the reliability of my truck has been taken away. I then informed him I would be buying new batteries at 250/ea. Due to not holding a charge after they killed them. He said he would call me back to work toward a solution. No call and no solution. That's the reason for 1 star review and neither myself or anyone I can convince will be doing any business at St. Paul dodge.

Was ignored by sales staff and given zero time by any member of staff when I went looking to buy a new vehicle. Not sure if it was because I was a young First Nations girl at the time, but it was a very disheartening experience. They had me wait for about 40 minutes and finally I asked if I would be able to see anyone they said that all sales staff were busy with other clients when it looked like I was the only person there. The receptionist said I could go look at the cars on the lot on my own if I wanted, so I did. When I returned I asked if I could now speak to a sales rep and was told they're all in a meeting. What a joke Smyl, thanks for wasting my time. After that experience I went to ford and have recently perchased my third vehicle from them. And if people are wondering why I'm writing a bad review now after all these years it's because people don't forget how companies made them feel, especially in small towns like St. Paul. I would never do business with a company that disregards people just by how the look. That's discrimination and it's ugly.

Kelly and the staff at St. Paul Dodge service department are great! They are all so friendly and patient and willing to take the time to explain the mysteries of my vehicle to me who knows where the oil goes and that's about it!
