Stampede Car Wash

Timing for $2 is ok .Good thing it also take $1.but less time. They do not have engine wash selection.

It feels like you get less time for your money *but* you get way more soap and wax than places that give your more time per dollar. You can really see the difference when the wax gets applied compared to other carwashes in the area. It also has tricolor foam wax which leaves an incredible shine.

Oddly, I think you get more time per dollar with a credit card than using actual coins.

The Intro: Nice day. Checked out two of my normal coin washes which were busier than normal so tried Stampede for the first time.

The Good: Wait lines not too long, management directing traffic helpful. Auto-entry door sensors. Stubby style spray guns in good working order and hoses don't tangle with each other when circling your car.

The Bad: 1min15sec per dollar is ridiculous (2min30sec for toonie). Especially when it takes 30 seconds for presoak (which they don't have but direct you to select tire cleaner) foam to appear in the stream. Plan for longer to switch between this and soap for example. $7 later I have my rinse time out get and not get a chance to try the spot free rinse. I can usually soap, rinse and spot free for $4 at other area washes. This place I could maybe do it in $6 or $7 excluding the presoak that I tried this visit. Bays are not roomy either when maneuvering around the giant coin/control box enclosure.

The Outro: Frustrating 30min of my life that I'll never get back. No wonder the wait lines were short.

Very convenient in bay credit card wand wash. Reasonable price and powerful products with high cleaning quality. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great car wash. Very nice and helpful new management. Credit card system works well. I got a decent car wash with only $3.94. Received a receipt from the office after the wash. The lady in the office explained the second charge of $31.50 is not a real charge, it is only the pre-authorization, and it will be gone in two days. Great service. Highly recommended to everyone!
