Wonderful store, exceptional staff. From trades/consignments to the excellent work they do on my guitars, this place is easily my favourite store in the city.

Was in the neighbourhood & stopped by yesterday. So impressed with the friendly, knowledgeable atmosphere - really appreciated the time they took with my 14 year old, explaining to her what was causing issues with her guitar & taking the time out of their busy day to work on it. She was thrilled to test a new out of the box leftie while we waited - we will definitely be back once she's saved up a little money!

Tyler and everyone at Stang Guitars is awesome and extremely easy to talk to. The feeling of intimidation that is so common in instrument stores is non-existent here. It's a comfortable, chill atmosphere that makes it easy to browse and compare gear because everyone is treated like a friend. I recently ordered a new pickup for my guitar that required some routing, and Andrew (their tech) aleviated all of my concerns and did an incredible job. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

These guys are awesome! They are axe slingers, so they know our lingo! No rush, lots of time, and Tyler and the boys love to chat and talk music n gear! I made sure they arranged for me to get my Friedman BE100 1/2 stack, fixed and added some magic to my SJ200 Gibby acoustic, and Tyler even pointed the wife and me in the right direction when I seen a guitar at winter namm 2018. He couldn't grab it, but told me who got it and gave us the contact name and number. That is 150% class act right there! I see myself doing alot of business with these fine gentlemen in the future. This place rivals, if not beats out, the likes of Ed Roman's, the Tone Shop, etc.

The staff at Stang are knowledgeable, patient, and easygoing with newbies and pros alike. Guitar tech Doc is a consummate professional in his field, meticulous and detail-oriented with an exceptional understanding of a guitar's inner and outer workings. He will consult with a player and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded with every repair, every time. Whether for purchase or repairs, I highly recommend checking these guys out!!

The absolute coolest/most laid back music shop I have been to. Nothing but great brands, awesome service and a great atmosphere to visit. They carry many boutique brands, as well as many familiar names at a variety of price points. I asked for them to carry some strings I couldn't find anywhere else in town and Tyler happily put them on the shelf for me! Nothing but great things to say - I will be back repeatedly!

Super friendly and helpful staff who don't mind talkin gear and are quick on the Facebook replies. And of course lots of super cool gear that you can't get just anywhere. They have almost everything I've been wanting to put on my board! Will shop til I drop

Stopped into Stang Guitars today for the first time with my two little girls. Was greeted at the door by two super friendly staff members. One of them gave us a tour of the store and even took the time to show my girls a selection of guitars in their favourite colours. Looking forward to the next visit.

Stang have a great atmosphere, showroom and selection of guitars, amps and effects. Their staff aren't pushy, are very knowledgable and most importantly to me, honest. I can't say enough about these guys. Plus they've always offered fair trade-in value when ever I've gone down that road.

I always look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Edmonton.

So, a friend of mine kept telling me about this place... And today I just popped in to see it for myself. As soon as I walked in the door,( and by the way the store was beautiful) the staff were really friendly and told me about the place and its layout, and feel free to check things out. So I probably hung out for about an hour and a half, and found this gorgeous used PRS 513 that I had to have!! I asked about the price and it was a hell of a deal!! So much so that my girlfriend was cheering me on to buy it,which NEVER HAPPENS haha. I told them I had a trade in as well, which they said great. So I bring in the trade. And to my surprise the guy doesn't try and low ball me and was really honest and fair... cool !!! And now Stang Guitars will have my business from picks to strings and whatever else LOL.

Just stopped by for the first time and I am very impressed with the store... They offer up some great gear and the store has a very unique and cool appearance. While they are still in the early stages, they have landed some amazing lines such as Friedman amps, Supro amps and Wampler pedals to name a few... If your into quality tone you need to stop here first. I will shop here again and highly recommend Stang Guitars to everyone. Great staff that know their gear.

I would like to thank everyone there for letting us hangout for 2.5 hours testing guitars and just talking my 8 year old son learned so much. Would like to thank doc for showing my son a few things about guitars. I think you just influenced my son for life. Thank you all so much for your time it was an amazing experience.

I stopped in to look at a Boss Chorus pedal last week and was helped by the owner. Tyler spent the time assisting me in my purchase as well as inviting me to look at some of the awesome Fender guitars that he has in stock. I had my daughter with me and Tyler was very calm about having a youngster around the gear; more so than I was anyways.



Thank you for your help, Stang Guitars! You will be my new 'go to' music store for future purchases.

I give it 5 stars and I haven't been there yet... But I've dealt with Tyler in the past and found him to be awesome! I'll be visiting Friday.. :)

Great vibe. Everyone there is super friendly, they actually encouraged me to grab guitars off the wall unlike some other store that feel they guitars are not to be touched! Always very quick to respond on Facebook on e-mail.

Excellent customer service. The second I walked into the store, I was greeted with a coffee and I was pretty much sold from that point on. I traded a bass for a beautiful Gretsch and I will certainly be doing business with Tyler again soon.

Doc is a hero amongst men, if you need any guitar work done you should definitely go to him.
