About Starkroft
Starkroft raises purebred Rideau Arcott sheep. This "made-in-Canada" breed delivers high fertility, prolificacy and excellent milk production. Since 1997 we have maintained a highly productive closed flock with breeding stock shipped across Canada.
Starkroft Description
We lamb 75 ewes annually in April - May. Our ten-year lambing average is 2. 75 lambs per ewe with very few bottle lambs. The flock was established in 1997 and maintains a closed, high health status.
Registered and grade breeding stock is available by order. Freezer lamb is also available seasonally, generally November - May. Raised on "grass and grain", our product is lean, nutritious and so delicious!
