What a great little hidden gem on the road between Calgary and Edmonton lunch breakfast awesome sandwiches… Two thumbs up

Update: Added a star after trying lunch. Handformed burgers yay! Decent fries. Great coffee. Will try milkshakes another visit!



*** Great little diner, super cool decor, we had breakfast which was good basic dinner fare. Will have to have burgers and shakes to give a full review. They were very short staffed but still friendly �

The diner itself is spotless and shiny, and everything you want a diner car to be. The food is good, but what got it a 5 star from me is that Saskatoon berry and black current pie. WOW.

Stopped for supper with my boys, great service and the food was fantastic!

It's a very nice place. The staff was nice, the food was great. It took a while, but it was all freshly cooked, so it was worth the wait.

Great food, great service! To all hockey families out there, the staff of the Starlite Diner Car was fantastic. They accommodated all of the players and their families. I assure you that serving, cooking and keeping that many people happy is no easy task, but I have to say that the staff of the Starlite Diner handled it all amazingly. If you are looking for a great place to eat with a friendly atmosphere, this is definitely it. We will be back.

Food was very good and the staff were very friendly and attentive to my needs. This was on the Friday evening of the long weekend.

Burgers are super! Service is excellent. A cosy ambience for relaxing and just enjoying a good meal.

A fun little spot to stop on the way to Calgary or Banff. Popped in with the family for lunch. Service was fast and super friendly. The atmosphere was incredible considering it has a very cool retro feel to the place and its built from a diner car. The food was really good and the pricing was more then fair. Would definately reccomend stopping here if you're ever in the area. I give this place 5/5 star rating. Great family roadside eatery.

Stopped here yesterday for the first time seeing it passing by going back n forth to Red Deer.

Had the all meat omelette n hubby had the Starlite omelette both satisfied with our meal n the server. Will return in the future, thanks.

First time there. Enjoyed our meal and loved the atmosphere of the place.

We have stopped at the Starlite Dinner a lot of times the service is good food is good girls very friendly, just one person needa to smile a bit more, but I will continue to stop by when traveling to Canmore and Calgary.!!!

Not as good as it used to be - not worth a special trip. Very disappointed.



The food and service used to be amazing - not anymore. The food was small portions, served after it had sat until it was lukewarm. The servers were not interested in food sitting under the warming element until after customer had complained.

Would of been great with out the 10 inch hair that was imbedded in my chicken...I called the young lady over to observe as I pulled and pulled to break it free from the meat...I have to say it was very unfortunate as we came to this place last year and raved about the food...I know things can happen, but I can't understand why the cook didn't see it while it was being prepared...they offered me something else, but I couldn't bring myself to eat anything that they would of prepared...I would hope that a food health safety course is in the near future

Service was crap:( I love the dry ribs but I don't know that I can handle the horrible service. Not only that I had a milkshake and it taste like soap. The waitress looked at me like I was nuts they don't use soap to clean there milkshake stuff. Than waited 20 minutes just to get a box for our food.
