Sometimes you're looking for a little hole-in-the-wall spot to get a beverage and spend some time with friends. Prices are a little high, quality is a little low, and decor probably hasn't changed since it opened more than 30 years ago, but if you're just looking to kick back and have a beer, this might be the spot for you.

Stale cold dry ribs, $7 veggie platter that looks like someone's compost; seriously, eat elsewhere. We ordered with skip, waited just under half an hour for this (and some nachos that were the definition of average); and when we called to complain, the owner insisted on photos to prove that the food was bad. Being relatively late, we'd pretty halfheartedly eaten all but the veggies; the owner refused to refund anything we didn't have a picture of. I do need to note, Skip's customer service was great helping us deal with this; but it took about an hour to get things sorted.

What's really disappointing is that the nachos were awesome when we ordered in July; not sure what happened to their kitchen since then, but nothing good.

Among Best pizza in Calgary. Excellent service and consistent quality for 5 + years now. Great service and people who care about their product. Always recommended.

In 15 years I have only asked one other time to speak to management. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I was in Craig's party. This whole situation was handled very very poorly.

Our friend who was out with us has severe allergies. Which we told the waitress about, and we figured something out. (The waitress was really good about everything even though it was her first day.)
Anyways we ended up with random charred food in with the nachos which I can handle, but my friend who has the allergies can not. Because she could potentially die. Craig's pizza was very undercooked.
The owner says it was "busy." That is such a lie. The place was less then half full. She also says she offered to redo it. There was no such offer.
If she would have come over to talk to us; this could have been resolved very easily.
Sending over the new girl to do her dirty work was just deplorable.
All she had to do was walk over and say sorry this is what we can do, but she couldn't even be bothered.

This is also on top of another situation. I was supposed to meet Craig for dinner there, and later got a text saying don't bother.
He went there and sat for 30 minutes waiting for me and no one came by in that whole time. No drinks, no menu, nothing. We ended up somewhere else.

We have gone to this place for years. We will not be back again.

Pizza was undercooked, crust was still rawish in places. Nachos were burnt, lacking the ordered ground beef, and came with a bonus of a charred french fry. When calling attention to the poor food, the server (who had previously said this was her first day) owned up to forgetting to order the ground beef (bonus points for honesty), and volunteered to speak with the owner. The owner came back with "we'll take the pizza back and cook it some more" and that's it. We asked to speak directly to the owner to illustrate our discontent with the food. After waiting 30 minutes and enduring excuse after excuse why she was not available, we left.

The reply the owner gave claiming that a full remake of food was offered is simply not accurate. The only offer received was as described above. Other members of the dining party can verify this.

See Lorna A.'s review for the server's perspective of this negative experience.

Best nachos I've ever eaten. I don't say that lightly. Great food.

Decor and atmosphere are pretty standard sports bar goodness. Lots of TVs if you're into that. With the cornocopia of choice when it comes to craft beer, this place certainly leaves much to be desired as far as draft goes. Haven't had a chance to try the food. That might add another star, I hear their pizza is good.
