Steve Nichols, the artist and founder of Stevetoys started making toys for his friends, family and coworkers as gifts while he was just out of high school. As word of mouth spread, more and more people would commission Steve for his creations. In October 2002, Things really took off when Steve made an action figure for Mark Schultz of the A-Channel morning show in Edmonton, AB. The following day, Mark showed the toy on air, and the channel asked to do a feature story on the company. After the 6 o'clock news featured aired, Steve was flooded with calls and had over 50 toy orders in that evening. In 2003 Steve branched out into making Bobbleheads, Wedding Toppers and Snowglobes. To date, Steve has made over 500 hand crafted toys for customers all over the world. "I really enjoy creating something unique for people. Seeing people's reactions when they receive a toy, is truly rewarding. "Steve Nichols also has a honors certificate in Digital and Interactive Media Design from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton. This background in design is what allows each toy package to be designed unique and fun.
