Strathcona Solar Park Project
In 2012, Solar Centre Ltd. was registered by Frankline Agbor, Dale Rowe and Jim Spiers and created Edmonton Solar Centre which was use to apply for Alberta Government renewable energy funding. Edmonton Solar Centre was the only project in Edmonton and the only solar project to get pass Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation’s Expression of Interest level and invited to submit a full project proposal to Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation last call for proposal in 2013 but was not funded due to lack of a defined location for the project.

“It’s not the strongest of the species that survive nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change, ” Charles Darwin.

“Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm, ” Winston Churchill.

Today, land has been secured, application submitted to CCEMC, a more efficient solar technology which produces 30% higher than normal electricity output has been nailed down which will translate into 30% higher than normal revenue from sale of electricity to the grid. We hereby present a case for a re-named project called Strathcona Solar Park seeking to raise 50% finance for the construction, procurement and management of the Edmonton Solar Centre project. The other 50% funding we wish to raised through public funding.

Solar Centre Ltd. is currently in discussions with interested groups to support the project by providing financial resources and purchasing the green energy produced by Strathcona Solar Park at a premium ‘green’ price sufficient to enable investors to realize a reasonable return on their investment.
