As a local of the town, and an avid RVer I guess I expected better treatment from the local RV shop. While they did do everything we agreed upon, they also took full advantage of my pocket book. The overall bill was 450.00 to do a gas test, change a lock, install 2 new outdoor speakers and install a propane cover. Overall, I feel that this is the rube price, not a valued customer price but this was not the deal breaker. What killed this place for me is that they charged me 54.00, 40 minutes labour to install a Camco propane cover that literally just slides over the propane tanks. When I phoned in to ask about this charge, the person told me that the labour charge was to put the 12 screws in that hold the two halves together. Camco's own site indicates that this process takes 15-20 minutes tops, and further, I feel an honest business person who actually cared about me as a customer instead of an atm machine would have informed me how ridiculously easy the product was to install and not charged me. While we can argue about the level of dishonesty here, I personally will not be returning to this location as I feel disrespected and ripped off. I hope the owner enjoys that 54.00 as it has cost him a lifetime of business from myself, my family and anyone who asks me about this particular store.
