Studios Group Martial Arts

I was a student at this school and the owner of the studio had absolutely no patience and was very discriminating to me because I had previously been training in the USA. Can't say I learned nothing from this ruido but he was very rude and yelled at younger kids as well as adults. I understand that martial arts is about discipline but he treated everyone like crap.

My boys started taking martial arts at this school when they were 4 & 5 years old. The program teaches discipline, provides fitness, and forms friendships and skills that will last a lifetime. Now my kids take advantage of the excellent after school program which conveniently picks them up from their school, allows them to continue progressing with their belt training as they learn math, fun fitness, and maintain social interaction with friends and the great instructors who support them. It is amazing how my child Logan has improved with his math skills this year alone! SGMA is a great place to develop much needed life skills!

Elijah, my son, who is five years old, started joining the group in the middle of this year. At first he was a little bit shy but was able to blend with the group (mighty dragons) easily because instructors and students were so friendly and very welcoming. They even let him join in their class to get used in their routine to make him feel if he really likes to learn martial arts (taekwando) I like the way the instructors teach each students how to be a good listener in class and at home, how to be proud of themselves, become respectful and gain self discipline by following instructions. The experience in his first class with the mighty dragons made him more eager to attend classes from once a week to twice a week! He always looking forward to attend his taekwando lessons aiming for higher belts. Now, Elijah is enjoying his new class learning new techniques and new routines. Instructors are so awesome in coaching their students, they are so patient in teaching to make sure a skill is executed properly. I would definitely recommend this group. I have no regret in registering my child. It's all worth it!!!

If you are looking for a great martial art’s school for yourself and your children then do not look further. Great team, knowledgeable instructors! They teach kids not only martial arts, they teach them discipline, respect, self-defence, self-esteem and friendship.
They have amazing summer programs as well. My son attended almost all summer camps and looks forward to the next summer camps.

This is my son's 3rd school in 8 years he has been enrolled in TKD. I spoke with Master Paul in great lengths before enrolling my son in his school. I was very impressed with his visions for the students, the student to instructor ratio and the amount of training days that the students can participate in. The facility is very clean and there are lots of training tools for the students. The training has been very valuable and different from the other schools my son attended, after investigating other schools, I must admit that I believe this is one of the top schools in the City of Calgary. I look forward to watching my son achieve his Black Belt at this school with the assistance of Master Paul and his fine blend of instructors. Keep up the good work!
