This is a beautiful club but if you don't want to be RIPPED off stay away! You never see the bill the whole night & when people in your group pay money to the bill they don't show it or remove it from the bill, and only when cornered with proof do they correct the bill. On top of it the manager is the most unprofessional person in a management position I've ever encountered.
The staff at Sub Rosa are thieves - we paid for our bill in cash (we tipped 30%) and left a few minutes before the rest of our party got their own bills. The staff then wouldn't let our friends leave until our friends paid for our bill that we had already paid. So, unless you're the type that likes hanging out in a hipster bullshit basement while the staff rip you off you'd be much better off going to a real bar.
Nice atmosphere, good music, and good crowd. However, staff and management are con artists and scammers. They tried to over charge the bill by ~$300 and when confronted they gave a discount (ie. $50). Despite this, we gave waitress 25% tip but she was too drunk to do basic math and complained that she got no tip because she was comparing the cash she had in her hands to the orginial over charged bill. If you decide to come here make sure to triple check the bill and bring a grade school math book to educate the staff (even the staff who are not drunk).
