Yum! Yum! Yum! I ordered a birthday cake from Amy and the Sugared & Spiced team and it was absolutely delicious! When I cut into the cake it was moist and perfectly layered. It really was picture perfect! The white chocolate on top was delicious and the buttercream was just the right ratio. And no fondant! How does the team do it??!!



The cake was meant to feed 10-12 people but I think I was able to get about 15 generous pieces out of the cake. The macarons on the top also allowed my celiac friend to enjoy in the birthday treat.



I asked Amy to skip the raisins in the carrot cake (because -ew!- baked raisins are gross!) and she was able to accomodate my request without hesitation.



I would highly recommend her cakes for their amazing taste, texture and design for your next event. It is well worth the extra money you spend on getting something a little extra special.

We hired Amy and her crew to make a cake for our 50th Wedding Anniversary, for a small group of 14. When we met with Amy she showed us photos of some of her cakes and made good suggestions for us to choose from. The cake was absolutely amazing. I asked Amy if she could place our original cake top on the cake, she cleaned it up and it was perfect. Thank you Sugared and Spiced, you added to our perfect day.

We have had 3 excellent special occasion cakes, a lemon curd, a chocolate caramel and a vanilla coconut. Cake day is the best day!!! They are made with care and are as beautiful as they are delicious.

We have been enjoying Sugared & Spiced cakes and cookies for a few years now, and as proud members of the Cake Club, we know we're getting the best cakes, the best service and are assured of supporting a true local baker/craftswoman (and her handsome husband, of course!) in doing what she loves. The shop is gorgeous, location is great and the Girls night in cookies were amazing! Also grabbed a bacon and cheese brioche - perfect breakfast bite!!

Sugared and Spiced's baked goods are beyond delicious! It's hard to pick favourites, from their Girls Night In cookies to their yummy apple pie. But if I had to, I'd choose their pavlova. It is so mouthwateringly good, lemony filling hitting just the right balance with the sweet meringue and the fresh fruit. It's one of the best I've ever tasted!

Sooooooo many choices in this gorgeous new YEG bakeshop we couldn't decide on just 1 treat, so we packed up our boxes with a tasty assortment of bacon � and cheese � brioche, coconut meringue, lemon tarts, assorted macarons, and some of the best and most interesting cookie flavors around. For the couple of items on the menu this morning we didn't have room for this trip, don't worry we'll definatly be back for you and to see what other new tasty delicacies this amazing couple dreams up.

Love these creations! Amy has amazing talent, and hits just the right notes in decoration and aesthetics - (check those pics!!)! But at the heart of the Matter is the Batter...and well, the butter/cream icing!! So delicious! And cookies and dream-come-true delicacies such as she prepared for my daughter's wedding reception - gluten free and even all the matching amazing colours!!! Amy and team make the extraordinary accessible - excellent web presence, but beyond personable, professional and uber-friendly. Like other NAIT alumni, Amy is changing the landscape of Edmonton's food scene, one outstanding, amazing dessert at a time!!

Last weekend I ordered a cake, and realized I mixed up the date when I placed the order. At 5:30 on the day of our party I realized my mistake, and Amy was able to adjust her evening, decorate our cake, and deliver it by 7:00 - just the right time for dessert. I was extremely impressed with the service, and the cake was beautiful and delicious! The perfect treat for a special occasion. Thank you!

It feels like Amy is part of our family; her cakes have been part of so many of our celebrations, including a well-timed Cake Club delivery as we got home from birthing our second baby. I'm in awe of how Sugared & Spiced cakes are just as beautiful inside as they are outside: every tiny detail is so thought out and perfect (and mouth-wateringly delicious). Remember when people thought you needed fondant for a beautiful cake? Me neither. We are so happy to support our local bake shop, but don't be fooled -- these baked goods are worth a trip if you're not as close as we are. Have you tried the cookies yet?

I used to ride my bike home from work years ago when this wonderful little company was just a lovely team of 2 with a booth at my local farmers market and Amy would always have something new and delicious to try each week! And now to know how far those yummy cookies have come! Everyone should try some baked good from this Beautiful bakery because they will never be disappointed, only running or in my case riding my bike back for more!

I have to say my favourite items were the cinnamon bun and the butter tarts. But they really surprised me by making a macaron that was just the perfect amount of sweetness with flavours that blew my socks off. So good.

I have had an epic cake and two birthday cakes and each has been spectacular. Lovely to look at and even better to enjoy with lots of friends and family. Well done, Amy!

Honestly- with no Exaggeration- A-MA-ZING, beautifully DE-licious Goods. I went for the first time today, and chose 5 Yummies to buy and sample: S'more; Ginger cookie; Peanut Butter cookie; Ladies Night-In cookie (I think that's what they call it); and the Cheese& Green Onion Scone. I am very picky about PB cookies- as soon as I bit into it and had that first dusty, a touch sweet but mostly not too sweet- a bit of crumble to it- I KNEW it was Incredible. VERY VERY good. That was my Favourite today. 2nd place went to the Dark Chocolate with undertones of Raspberry Wine and saltiness (Ladies night-in cookie)- OH WOW. I am usually not a fan of raspberry and chocolate but in this instance it is Fantastic. And the salty touch is Always perfect. 3rd place was the wonderfully textured Green Onion& Cheese scone- rich yet subtle. Lovely consistency, yummy flavour. 4th and 5th place- The S'More was a COOL experience and with the Homemade Marshmallow (I tried making those with a friend back in Junior High- haha!) on top- that was a delicacy. The Gingersnap was nothing to complain about! Good Crunch and Chewiness. I will Definitely rave about you guys! Thank you for presenting yourself to me in your little Whyte Ave back alley spot!

FINALLY had a chance to stop in here yesterday and bought almost all of what they had left at the end of the day. They are lovely people, and holy cow are their treats delicious! Will definitely be going back, the only downside is that they are 3 seconds from my office and I will have to be strong and not go there daily to buy deliciousness � Give them a try if you have not yet done so.

Best baked goods in Edmonton, no questions asked. I first tried an assortment of their desserts on a "Streetcar Named Dessert" event they put on (a definite must if they run it again) and everything was amazing, from the beautiful cakes, brownies, tarts and the coconut macaroons! I am a self-proclaimed dessert snob and I am very happy to have a new place to satisfy my sweet tooth!
