We love to ski at Sunshine! So easy to get to from Calgary. We do day ski and also love to stay in the lodge 2 or 3 nights at a time 3 to 4 times a year. The ski season is the longest of all Ski resorts in North America! They open to May long weekend every year. The heated chair lift is the best to none. The hot pool, sauna and Verde Spa at the lodge are the best treats a full day ski on the slopes. Food is so delicious at Lookout kichtenb and Bar with many healthy options and all level of prices you can choose from. You can either eat or have drinks at the dinning table, bar or sit on couches by 2 fire places. Eagle Nest Restaurant will serve you upscale dining, it is perfect for a romantic dinner or special occasion. The staff members at Sunshine is well trained, knowledgable, exremly friendly. Great job Sunshine! You are the best ski resort in the world. We are so luck to have you near by us!

We came for a family vacation and stayed 5 nights on the mountain. It was cold but sunny everyday and during the week days it felt like we were the only ones on the mountain. My kids are 3 and 12 and they both loved the ski school. The instructors were all great, they gave good feedback and best of all the kids learned a ton! The first day I ended up going down some pretty choppy super steep terrain but soon enough I figured my way around and fell in love with the unbelievable views from every angle. Chairlifts were freezing but there's one that a covered chair and I highly suggest it, plus the runs over there are amazing. During the weekend the mountain became really busy and there were some people on runs they just shouldn't be on. The one suggestion I would have is to mark the dangerous rocky terrain a little more clearly but other than that it was awesome!

This is the seventh time we have been to Canada and sunshine is without a doubt the best resort to ski at, the snow, people and facilities are world beating. Keep up the good work from a very happy jealous Londoner

The retail shop helped me out so much today I can never thank them enough! You ever have any issue with any ski gear they’re more than happy to help!

User

Sunshine is definitely my favourite close to home mountain! There are a few spots that are a little flat, but once you know the mountain you'll never walk unless you're hiking the backdoor! Always great snow and the backcountry options are great.

Stayed in the cabin overnight and did a day of boarding with my girlfriend. Absolutely amazing time and not to crazy expensive. Did snowboarding lessons to help with toe carving and the staff were all around awesome. Not to mention the scenery just wow. Will definitely be going back what a blast.

My boyfriend and I had an AMAZING day yesterday skiing in spring conditions! Staff was very friendly especially those who were at the chairs always saying "hi" to us! Conditions were awesome! Thank you for my nicest day of ski of the season that was also free because of the pass you offered this year! Thanks a lot! See y'a next year!

It was our first experience at Sunshine Village. My 16 year old son a snow boarder, and me, a skier decided to sneak up for a day on the mountain. The first people we met on the gondola, were a group of 3 young "soon to be instructors" from England. They were astounded at how relaxed and friendly everyone has been. Our positive experience continued when we met the mountain hosts. They are dressed in blue gear and we're most helpful to guide you around the mountain. This gesture ensured that we would be returning to Sunshine with confidence. Thank you Ken and Carol for your time, knowledge and history lesson. We had a blast

I've been to Sunshine many times years ago and have had an ok time. I snowboard and find lots of flat spots and end up getting stuck. I usually go in Jan or Feb and sometimes find the hill very windy, icy, and cold.

This time around the weather was awesome! The snow was plentiful and had a blast riding in the trees. And with the great snow conditions we got to explore the entire hill (without hitting any flats). I had the best time I've ever had at sunshine!

My wife, who has never been on a ski hill in the mountains ever (and she's lived in Alberta for 44 years) got to ride the gondola up to the top on Sunday where we got to share a dinner together. My only concern is the $38 charge just to ride a gondola was a little steep. If it was cheaper you might get more people like my wife to come spend a day on the hill and In turn spend some money. My wife has terminal cancer so the price wasn't the biggest deal (you did take $10 off per ticket which we where grateful for). It was that my wife got to experience what I get to every winter season. Made some great memories for sure! We also had another friend of ours ride up the gondola who is battling stage 4 terminal cancer and she also got to experience the great mountain scenery with her family and make some great memories.

I'll be back next spring for sure! Thank you Sunshine!

Did a half day snowboard lesson with Lee. He is awesome. Thanks entirely to him, I think this old dog can learn new tricks. High energy and great at both breaking down the moves and demonstrating so that a beginner will understand. I will be requesting him next time. If you’re getting a lesson at Sunshine, ask for him. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

Besides the unique geography, working people in all fields are extremely nice.

Amazing, skiing lessons with Ellen who was fantastic. First ever attempt at skiing loved it so much. Resort fabulous, views amazing, staff fantastic and snow wonderful. Best experience ever

Was there yesterday.

Loads of snow but it was awful to ski in.

It was fluffy but very "dead" so it was a hard day.

I wish that they would put some more slope off the top of the lifts,as it is sometimes hard to get going , long flat and slow.

I love this hill but yesterday was the worst conditions we have had there.

We will be back.

User

Plenty of options for new and experienced skiers so something for everyone. Great staff and good food options.

The only downside is that when it's windy the top of both mountains can be really difficult for less experienced skiers

User

Another great day of skiing. Tue snow was hard packed and fast. The sky was clear in the morning but the afternoon started snowing and the runs at the top were so hard to see. Half way down it was great. Ski out was excellent. Looking forward to my next trip soon.

User

Runs where great service at the ticket booth was shit girl was very rude... I stayed polite bought my ticket used my marmot card she blocked her little hole cover I went too ask a quick question and a quick thank you and nope she just sat there on her phone... if she not happy go back too Australia...

User

Not that great of a place for Snowboarders. There's a lot of flat areas on most of the runs and the runs were really short. Keeping speed helps but most of time I had to unstrap and walk...A lot. It sucked. I liked Lake Louise a lot better.

User

Love the snow, and on a sunny day it is beautiful. That said two of four days I have went this year it was 40+ minutes to get from transCanada to parking lot. That is with us leaving Calgary by 7am. I think I am going to a start driving a little farther and getting on the snow sooner at Golden, Louise or Castle.

User

I snowboard and my husband skiis. We were warned about the flat spots but you really don't know where they're gonna happen! It seemed like each mountain had its own flat spot problems with the exception of the Wawa quad. Overall if I were a skier I probably would love it but since I'm not .. it was okay.

Plenty of options for new and experienced skiers so something for everyone. Great staff and good food options.

The only downside is that when it's windy the top of both mountains can be really difficult for less experienced skiers

Another great day of skiing. Tue snow was hard packed and fast. The sky was clear in the morning but the afternoon started snowing and the runs at the top were so hard to see. Half way down it was great. Ski out was excellent. Looking forward to my next trip soon.

Runs where great service at the ticket booth was shit girl was very rude... I stayed polite bought my ticket used my marmot card she blocked her little hole cover I went too ask a quick question and a quick thank you and nope she just sat there on her phone... if she not happy go back too Australia...

Not that great of a place for Snowboarders. There's a lot of flat areas on most of the runs and the runs were really short. Keeping speed helps but most of time I had to unstrap and walk...A lot. It sucked. I liked Lake Louise a lot better.

I snowboard and my husband skiis. We were warned about the flat spots but you really don't know where they're gonna happen! It seemed like each mountain had its own flat spot problems with the exception of the Wawa quad. Overall if I were a skier I probably would love it but since I'm not .. it was okay.
