Throughout every aspect of Beverley Lucas’ life there are three constants: God, family, and creation. This trinity is ever-present in her balanced life; never is one featured without the others. All of her creations are influenced by both God and family, and indeed God and family are featured in many of her pieces. No matter how she decides to allow her creativity to take form, with paintings; sculptures; drawing; stitching; or even developing her gardens, there is an ever-present feeling that the other two constants in her life are the driving force behind her ability to create.
Beverley Lucas has a penchant for taking the mundane and blending it with its underlying spirituality. Her results are nothing short of amazing; art that anyone can understand, but art that still evokes emotion and thought beyond that of everyday life. Beverley blends things as simple as dots and lines to instill the passion that she feels for life, into the most stoic of people. She can combine objects devoid of beauty, such as wood and wire, into sculptures of the divine.
