Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope and pray you have an awesome holiday with friends and family! Eat, drink, be merry, and don't forget to do a few pushups and squats so you can fit some more Christmas baking in there.

Today's challenge: Weighted Pushups!
Evidently I don't do too well with an extra 110 lbs on my back. 80 lbs was doable, though. Why don't you post some pictures of you doing some weighted exercises? As you can see, they don't need to be plate weights or dumbbells (hint for you parents).

Alright, to formally kick things off for T3 Fitness, I'm giving away something for free. Help my page reach 125 likes by liking and sharing this post. Then comment why you'd like to win. Once I hit 125 likes, I'll draw a random name from everyone who comments and the winner will receive a free fitness plan (one on one fitness assessment followed by a personalized fitness plan... $100 value!). You don't have to be local to win. It's 2017...we have the technology to do this long distance! Hey, maybe I'll throw in a prescription for some T3s to help with that delayed onset muscle soreness. 😉

A little over a year ago, I embarked on another journey toward weight loss and better health. I'd done this before and just couldn't seem to get out of the funk of cyclical weight gain and weight loss, never really getting anywhere. This last time around, I had hit my lowest point. Tipping the scales at 320 lbs., I felt like crap and didn't look so great either. Everything was more difficult than it had to be. Things like brushing my teeth hurt my back when I bent over the si...nk. You can see my son in the pictures below with me and I think being a father to 3 young children played a huge role in kicking me further in the right direction this time. It was getting harder and harder to keep up with them and I found myself collapsing on the couch after work, leaving the playing to my wife. This wasn't the way I wanted it to be. So, over the last 16 months or so, I started pushing myself back in the right direction. Don't get me wrong, there have been plenty of skipped gym days and consumed Baconators along the way. I haven't conquered all of my bad habits or gotten myself into as good of shape as I could have, but my lifestyle as a whole has begun changing for the better for the long haul. I finally finished studying and took my exam to become a certified personal trainer at the end of the summer and really want to help others who find themselves in the same spot I was in last year. Having played competitive sports when I was younger as well, I have a passion for helping others take their game to the next level before it's too late and you find yourself playing slo-pitch and recreational hockey, dying a little inside every game. 😉 Do you want to pick your game up, shed some unnecessary weight, start living a more fulfilling life, or just enjoy running around with your kids more? Hit me up!
