Tao'S Pizza & Steak House

Awesome pizza here. Very dated atmosphere though, could use an update.

It's.. okay? Food has been alright when we've gone, though a tad on the pricey side. When this place was called Paul's we had issues with the staff, but it seems better now in that regard.

Sat down in an otherwise empty dining room. We helped ourselves to menus and made our pizza choice. After tiring of being totally ignored, we left the dining room as we found it, empty.

Rating is for the pizza - it's very good at a good price. The location is a tavern, kind've run down. The waitress seemed very friendly; might go there to watch a game, but not for business.

Good food, great service, standard to long wait times. Great locale for locals.

The chairs are fiendishly comfortable to lounge in, the place is well worn, and clearly renovated sometime in the early 2000's, but the vibe is quite pleasent. There is however, no seperation between the restaurant and bar besides a half wall, so not a place to go if you're trying to avoid drunks and the odd homeless outside. Still, people are friendly in the good old Canadian way and the food is decent. The bathrooms are about what you'd expect from a worn pub restaurant, which is ok if you're no germaphobe. There are also lots of menu items to choose from, pizza being a lovely and a popular choice. As you eat you'll be met with classic slow Rock, Disco, Blues, and even a little Country. All lovely choices to pair your meal. If you're ready to relax with your dinner and chat with your friends, then check out this old gem.

Cheap and staff are great

The pizza was good. The both was uncomfortable. The place was empty on a Friday lunch. I think that says something.
